Three World Premieres Will Take Place in The Washington Chorus 2021-2022 Season

TWC will present or collaborate on three world premieres in the 2021-2022 season; Adolphus Hailstork's “A Knee on the Neck, a Requiem cantata for George Floyd,” written in response to the death of George Floyd, Damien Geter's “Symphony no. 1: The Justice Symphony” commemorating anthems from the Civil Rights era, and Roshanne Etezady's “Become The Sky” with texts by the 13th-Century Persian poet Rumi in a prologue for chorus, orchestral brass, and percussion.

92nd Street Y Announces Return of In-Person Fall Classical Music Season

The 92nd Street Y has announced its fall classical music season today, its first fully in-person season since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Comprising 14 concerts performed in 92Y’s historic Kaufmann Concert Hall, the fall season includes two appearances by world-renowned pianist Richard Goode and more.

Lowell Chamber Orchestra Announces Upcoming Season

The season opens with another world premiere: Micah Roberts' 'Hypernovae,' a fantastic overture inspired by the cosmos, which also marks the conclusion of the LCO's first ever call-for-scores. Roberts' score was selected from over 120 compositions, which came from 9 different countries. Other featured living composers include Anna Clyne, Arnold Friedman, Mark Berger, Karl Henning, and Lowell's own Aaron Rosenberg.

National Youth Choir of Scotland Returns To Singing on 17 May

This morning at 6am 29 singers and conductor Christopher Bell gathered on Calton Hill to be the first to sing in Scotland this year. Their rehearsal of Let All the World in Every Corner Sing by Vaughan Williams and Why We Sing by Greg Gilpin surprised and delighted dog walkers and early birds as the sun rose over Edinburgh.

Meeting House Chamber Music Festival Announces 2021 Lineup
