The Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra presents A Joyful Future on Saturday, May 21st, at 5pm at The VETS. Guest conductors Tania Miller and Nathaniel Efthimiou join Principal Conductor Bramwell Tovey in a spectacular program including Copland's Fanfare for the Common Man, Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto, featuring renowned violinist Ray Chen, Ralph Vaughan Williams' Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis, Valerie Coleman's Seven O'Clock Shout, and Richard Strauss' Till Eulenspiegel's Merry Pranks.

Colorado Music Festival Opens This June in Boulder

The Colorado Music Festival (CMF) opens the 2022 season in Boulder, Colorado at the historic Chautauqua Auditorium on June 30, offering 22 concerts this summer and running through August 7, under the leadership of Music Director Peter Oundjian. John Adams is this summer's Composer-in-Residence, and the Takács Quartet are Artists-in-Residence.

The 2022 BBC Proms celebrates a homecoming of large-scale orchestral repertoire to the Royal Albert Hall. This year's festival will feature a programme of a scale not heard at the Proms since 2019: the symphonic music of our past responding vividly to the moment, from Verdi's Requiem on the First Night of the Proms, to Mahler's Second Symphony with the London Symphony Orchestra and Sir Simon Rattle, to Beethoven's Ninth Symphony performed by the Chineke! Orchestra and Chineke! Voices under Kevin John Edusei.

Peter Oundjian Will Replace Nathalie Stutzmann In Stravinsky & Brahms Concerts at the Seattle Symphony

Guest conductor Peter Oundjian will replace Nathalie Stutzmann to lead the Stravinsky & Brahms program at the April 28 and 30 concerts. Unfortunately, Stutzmann is unable to make the performances due to illness. The Stravinsky & Brahms program features two vast works, Brahms' exceptional German Requiem and Funeral Song, Stravinsky's recently rediscovered elegy for Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov.

Choral Artists of Sarasota’s 43rd season, entitled “Carried Away!” continues with the long-awaited world premiere of “Listen to the Earth,” Sunday, April 24, 5 p.m., at the Sarasota Opera House. The concert showcases “Listen to the Earth,” a symphonic choral cantata by James Grant, an award-winning composer and part-time Sarasota resident. Also featured on the program is the “Song of the Universal” by Ola Ojeilo, Ralph Vaughan Williams’ “The Lark Ascending” and another work by James Grant, “Earth – Poem of Thanks to Our Common Home.”
