Currently on a West Coast tour, acclaimed Nashville-based singer/songwriter Michaela Anne today announces that she will hit the road with singer, songwriter and musician JD McPherson. Beginning April 23, Anne will bring her “captivating vocals” (Billboard) and “splendid album” (American Songwriter), Desert Dove, to life with performances in Louisville, Indianapolis, Pittsburgh, Toronto and New York City. Amy's Victory Dance, a documentary film by Emmy-nominee Brian Thomas, will premiere on April 2 and 5, 2020 as part of the 2020 ReelAbilities Film Festival in New York City. The uplifting and inspiring documentary follows the story of choreographer and dancer Amy Jordan, who, on a beautiful spring day in May 2009, was run over by a 15-ton New York City bus. As she regained awareness, she had no feeling on the right side of her body. Her first thought was, “Am I ever going to dance again?” Her second thought was 'If I survive the night, there will be a Victory Dance.'

It was organized in a way that one scene made an easy transition into the next, being directly related to what the earlier character had said. Out of the gate underground artist Lio O'liva has hit the music scene hard with the release of his freshman album Prosthetic Soul, available now via Youtube, Soundcloud, iTunes and Google Play. With the release of his visual R&B/hip hop album, the 24-year-old Bronx artist tells a tale of disability, immigration, love and overcoming adversity. Born with a severe disability in Honduras, O'liva moved to the United States when he was a small child. Here, he underwent surgery and received prosthetic legs and his family eventually settled in the Bronx, where O'liva grew up and developed a strong love of American soul music. He counts Stevie Wonder, Usher, Musiq Soulchild, Lauryn Hill and D'Angelo among his influences.
