NBCUniversal announced today that its television studios, Universal Television and Universal Content Productions, will move under a single business unit, with Bonnie Hammer at the helm. Hammer will assume the new title of Chairman, NBCUniversal Content Studios. She will report directly to Steve Burke, CEO of NBCUniversal. Matt Strauss will join NBCUniversal from Comcast as Chairman of Peacock, the company's streaming platform which launches in 2020. Strauss will also add the Digital Enterprises group to his purview, and report to Burke. The changes are effective immediately.

Variety reports that 'Always Be My Maybe' director Nahnatcha Khan has signed an exclusive first-look deal with Netflix. Khan is also the creator and executive producer of hit sitcom 'Fresh Off The Boat.'

NBC has renewed the hit songwriting competition series “Songland” for a second season.

HISTORY's hit unscripted series 'In Search Of,' hosted and executive produced by Emmy-nominated actor Zachary Quinto, will kick off its eight-episode second season on Friday, October 4 at 10PM ET/PT.
