TheatreWorks Silicon Valley will present Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winner August Wilson’s sweeping drama Gem of the Ocean. This seminal classic will be directed by Artistic Director Tim Bond, a close friend of the late playwright and a leading interpreter of his work, making his TheatreWorks directorial debut with this play.

City Theatre Company, Pittsburgh’s home for contemporary plays, has announced the details of the theatre’s 48th season of bold, new works, beginning in September 2022. City Theatre’s second season post-pandemic shutdown will feature five plays with first-time and returning artists, plus special events.

Rufus John, award-winning Black Caribbean-Canadian R&B/ Soul singer & songwriter is gearing up to release the single, Freedom Marching (Part I). The song will be available for pre-order on January 10th, 2022, and will be featured on the 3-song EP, The Freedom Marching Project, which is slated to be released on February 4th, 2022.

The How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying film, based on the musical of the same name, is set to debut on January 4th.

Films such as West Side Story, tick, tick...BOOM!, Cyrano, Encanto, and In the Heights were recognized this morning by the Hollywood Foreign Press. The Gotham Film & Media Institute announced today that actor Peter Dinklage will receive a Performer Tribute and The Actors Fund will receive the Gotham Impact Salute during the 2021 Gotham Awards Ceremony. Kristen Stewart, Eamonn Bowles, the cast of The Harder They Fall, and Jane Campion will also receive honors throughout the evening.
