Featuring the original London cast, the album was released for download and streaming earlier this year. The release will coincide with the musical's first Broadway preview at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre (205 West 46th Street) on Saturday, October 12. The CD features a 20-page booklet, which includes liner notes, synopsis, and production and studio photography. The album was recorded in February 2019 at Angel Studios and RAK Studios, produced by the show's Music Supervisor Nicholas Skilbeck and Kurt Deutsch, and co-produced by Tom Kelly. Aisha Jawando, who has been with the Company since its world premiere in Spring 2018, steps up to play the title role in TINA – THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL from 8 October 2019.  Having originally played Tina's sister Alline Bullock, Jawando has subsequently performed the iconic role of Tina at certain performances. 

Last night (6 March 2019), Andrew Lloyd Webber's award-winning show School of Rock - The Musical celebrated its 1000th performance in the West End at the Gillian Lynne Theatre. Stage Entertainment has confirmed that due to exceptional public demand over 100,000 new tickets will go on sale today (Friday 26 January 2018) at 12noon GMT for TINA, a new musical based on the life of legendary artist Tina Turner. Officially opening at the Aldwych Theatre on 17 April 2018, with previews beginning on 21 March 2018, the show is now booking to 20 October 2018.

The West End production of TINA will hold open auditions on Saturday 13 January 2018 for the opportunity to portray Anna Mae, the 11 year-old Tina Turner, with the adult cast of the musical. The company are looking for black and mixed race girls between the ages of 9 12 years old, under 4' 10 with good acting skills and a fantastic singing voice.

They are joined by ensemble members Tsemaye Bob-Egbe, Keisher Downie, Kit Esuruoso who also plays Tina's son Craig Hill, Jammy Kasongo, Sia Kiwa, Jason Langley, Kayleigh McKnight, Baker Mukasa and Tanisha Spring and swings Derek Aidoo, Gavin Alex, Edward Bourne, Candace Furbert, Hannah Jay-Allan and Rodney Vubya.

The West End production of Beautiful - The Carole King Musical, based on the early life and career of legendary singer songwriter Carole King, will complete its run at the Aldwych Theatre on 5 August 2017.
