Tony nominee Adam Pascal stars as Professor Harold Hill in the first show of the 5-Star Theattricals 2019-2020 season, THE MUSIC MAN.

5-STAR THEATRICALS has announced the full cast to join previously announced Tony nominee ADAM PASCAL (Broadway's original a?oeRogera?? in Rent and original a?oeRadamesa?? in Aida) who will star as Professor Harold Hill in the first show of its 2019-2020 season, THE MUSIC MAN, book, music and lyrics by Meredith Willson, musical direction by Brad Ellis, choreography by Peggy Hickey and directed by Larry Raben.

The '90s will be back with a vengeance this summer at the new and improved Main Stage Theatre at Hollywood's historic The Three Clubs (1123 Vine Street) when I Know What You Did Last Summer: The Unauthorized Musical slices and dices its way back to LA following last year's sold-out freshmen premiere!

5-STAR THEATRICALS (formerly Cabrillo Music Theatre) opens its 2018-2019 season with the Thousand Oaks premiere of SHREK THE MUSICAL, with music by Jeanine Tesori, book & lyrics by David Lindsay-Abaire, musical direction by Dan Redfeld, choreography by Karl Warden and will be directed by Kirsten Chandler. SHREK THE MUSICAL opens on Friday, October 19, 2018 and runs through Sunday, October 28, 2018 at the 1,800-seat Kavli Theatre at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, 2100 Thousand Oaks Boulevard in Thousand Oaks.

Newly appointed artistic director Patrick Cassidy, son of Shirley Jones and the late Jack Cassidy, puts a lifetime of theatrical experience to work as he begins his first season helming 5-Star Theatricals' musical theatre program in Thousand Oaks.

AFTER HOURS THETRE COMPANY (who most recently produced the Ovation nominated Dogfight and I Love You Because) announces that its critically acclaimed (LA Times CRITICS' CHOICE, Stage Raw TOP TEN), uniquely immersive theatrical experience, ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST, adapted by Dale Wasserman, based on the novel by Ken Kesey, produced by Graham Wetterhahn, and directed by Jonathan Muñoz-Proulx is EXTENDING through SUNDAY, JULY 22 at SIX01 Studio, 630 S. Flower St. in Burbank.

After our intake interview with the Asylum's Dr. Spivey (Trent Mills), we were invited through the loading dock door into the showers where two asylum staff members required us to don our patient wear. Once we learned the rules for the evening's entertainment, double doors opened to reveal the Psych Ward, marvelously realistic with wired cage doors opening into the space where patients sat playing games at the tables around the center stage area. Nurses walked around handing out 'medication' while new patients interacted with the actor-patients playing cards or other games at tables, after which we were directed to look for clues to discover the secrets around the 'ward' which would lead us to our reward. No - I am not going to tell you what that reward was nor how to solve the clues. That is part of the fun!

With the names of Benj Pasek & Justin Paul  (Oscar winners for La La Land and Tony Award frontrunners for this year's DEAR EVAN HANSEN) attached to DOGFIGHT, one might have high expectations while awaiting the opening notes to sound at The Hudson Mainstage. DOGFIGHT consistently scores with topnotch singing, dancing and musical accompaniment throughout. Nicci Claspell steals the entire show as Rose.
