Presenters for the 67th Annual Drama Desk Awards have been announced! Learn more about who will be giving out awards on the big night!

THE AMERICAN POPULAR SONG SOCIETY has announced that special guest Tovah Feldshuh – the Tony and Emmy-nominated actress currently starring on Broadway in Funny Girl – will join their “Second Annual Benefit Evening” to honor the legendary Marilyn Maye on Monday, June 12 at 6:00 PM at Theater 555.

The Delray Beach Playhouse has announced its lineup for 2023-2024, and once again, the venerable venue promises a season of exciting, eclectic, and engaging programming sure to entertain its long-time patrons, and to attract new audiences to what has often been called the ‘gem of a theatre on the shores of Lake Ida’.

Audiences today may know her best as Mrs. Brice, but Broadway has known Tovah Feldshuh by many other names. She made her Broadway debut on May 13, 1973 in Cyrano alongside Christopher Plummer at the Palace Theatre. Since then, she has gone on to play some of Broadway's most iconic characters. Jay Michaels, a producer/executive with a specialty in communications and promotion, will host a free webinar discussing the do's and don't of theatrical production - primarily the don'ts.

Play and screenwriter Rollin Jewett will return to the Downtown Urban Arts Festival with a dark comedy involving breaking and entering. Lydia Kalmen & Thamer Jendoubi in OUR LITTLE SECRET with Vincent Ticali as Lt. Banks. Production directed by Jay Michaels.

Panelists include Tovah Feldshuh, the first Jewish actress to play Mrs. Rosie Brice in “Funny Girl,” and renowned lyricist Bruce Sussman (“Harmony”) and award-winning playwright Alfred Uhry (“Parade”), who will share their insights and experiences on this critical issue.

The Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan (MMJCCM) has announced the line up for its 20th Annual Paul Feig z”l Tikkun Leil Shavuot, happening overnight from Thursday, May 25 through Friday, May 26. This year's free seven-hour celebration of Shavuot will take over the 14-story JCC complex on the Upper West Side, offering 100 unique hour-long sessions ranging from star-studded conversations to cooking events.

Westport Country Playhouse will present a musical concert, “Ari Axelrod - A Place for Us: A Celebration of Jewish Broadway,” on Monday, May 15, at 7 p.m. The internationally acclaimed, award-winning show honors the songs, stories, and contributions to American musical theater by Jewish composers, such as Irving Berlin, Leonard Bernstein, Stephen Sondheim, and Carole King. Tickets are $25.
