Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS awarded a record $2,827,500 in grants last week to 141 food service and meal delivery programs across the country, the product of the appeals made across Broadway, Off-Broadway and by national tours during Red Bucket fall fundraising and from the year-end campaign.

Ann Hampton Callaway and Liz Callaway were just announced as the performers for Harmony, the annual gala benefit of Big Apple Performing Arts, the home of New York City Gay Men's Chorus and Youth Pride Chorus, and Tonewall a cappella ensemble.

Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS’ in-theater Red Bucket fundraising concluded its fall campaign with 36 Broadway, Off-Broadway and national touring productions raising $5,107,791 to provide meals and medication, health care and hope for those living with HIV/AIDS, dealing with COVID-19 or facing other debilitating illnesses this holiday season.

Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS' in-theater Red Bucket fundraising returns tonight, October 21, 2022, as theatrical productions in New York City and across the country participate in the decades-long tradition of encouraging audience donations that help provide nutritious meals, medication, health care, counseling and emergency financial assistance.

Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS announced today $250,000 in emergency grants made in the name of the Broadway community to five food banks helping Florida residents who continue to recover and rebuild from the catastrophic damage caused by Hurricane Ian in late September.
