The world premiere of the new British musical The Little Big Things, based on the best-selling memoir by Henry Fraser, opens @sohoplace on 2 September, with press night on 14 September, and runs until 25 November 2023.

The Show Show is a brand-new podcast exploring the A-Z and the 1,2,3 of musicals. The podcast, hosted by Tom Ling (The Cereal Café) and Geddy Stringer (Christmas Carol, 9 to 5), makes its way through the Wikipedia list of musicals from start to finish, discussing everything from the smash hits to the hidden gems.

In this episode of In The (Home) Office, Donna Lynn will check in with Nick Butcher, Tom Ling and Joe White who developed their new musical at Goodspeed's 2020 Johnny Mercer Colony. Tune in to learn more about their project and hear song or two. 

Despite the cancellation of in-person gatherings because of COVID-19 concerns, The Johnny Mercer Foundation (JMF) and the American Music Theatre Project (AMTP) at Northwestern University will proceed with plans for the 15th annual Songwriters Project. The week-long program, master classes and workshops will take place online from June 21 to 27.

In what has become an annual ritual, a total of 40 established and emerging composers, lyricists, and librettists will converge on the Goodspeed campus from mid-January through mid-February 2020 to participate in the Johnny Mercer Foundation Writers Colony at Goodspeed Musicals. The writing teams, representing 15 new musicals, will populate the campus, creating a truly exciting environment for discovery and inspiration.

A new British musical, The Cereal Cafe, inspired by the opening of the Cereal Killer Cafe in East London and the Shoreditch riots of 2015, is to get its world premiere at The Other Palace.

British theatre composer Nick Butcher releases his musical film, Loved Before, staring Kayleigh Mcknight (Tina, Jesus Christ Superstar) and directed by Stephen Whitson (Hamilton, 42nd Street). The cast also includes Prince Plocky (Coriolanus, Lazerus) and Anne Vanderelst (credit). The film features the original song, He's Been Loved Before, with Music by Nick Butcher and Lyrics by Nick Butcher and Tom Ling.

The Other Palace is delighted announce two 'Work in Progress' productions, first discovered during Pitch Days held on 24 May 2017.  SPILT MILK and EVER ONWARD will have public sharings on Friday 11 August and Friday 24 November respectively.
