The Wallis inaugurates their new pop-up performance space on the Promenade Terrace for live audiences with the world premiere of Tom Dugan’s TEVYE IN NEW YORK! June 23, 2021. Tom co-directs (with Michael Vale) his one-man show on the well-known musical theatre lead character of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF. Tom managed to find time amongst his many, many writing projects to answer a few of my enquiries.

Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts re-opens with the World Premiere of Tevye in New York!

Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts will re-open this June with a pop-up outdoor performance space and Summer @ The Wallis featuring theater, dance, music, cinema, and special events. The outdoor space, with tiered seating and infrastructure to house lighting and sound, accommodates 100 socially distanced audience members each night.

The Group Rep will present REVENGE, a brand-new thriller directed by Bruce Kimmel. We could tell you more, but why spoil the fun, and besides, if we told you more, we'd have to kill you. A reading of a diabolical thriller you won't want to miss streams one time only on Saturday, April 3 at 5:00 pm (PDT).

Tell Him It's Jackie nearly sold out its run in Fall, 2020. It's back for a limited engagement, outdoors and socially distanced at Dugan's Backyard Playhouse.

Theatres will continue to be shuttered for a while, due to the pandemic. What's a playwright to do? Tom Dugan has set up a performance space in his backyard. Physical distancing will be observed. Out of necessity, the audience will be strictly limited in size. Hand sanitizers will be readily be available, Outdoor fans will be in use and audience members will be required to wear masks.

The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills will not open its two indoor theaters a?" the Bram Goldsmith and the Lovelace Studio theaters a?" prior to September 1, 2021, but will be presenting a robust mix of virtual programs.

The Delray Beach Playhouse announces the nationally touring production of WIESENTHAL (NAZI HUNTER) will be in Delray Beach December 27th through the 29th.

On Saturday, July 13, from 10 am until 12 noon, Better Lemons and Theatre West will be hosting the Producers Panel "Show Me the Money!" with some of LA's premiere theatrical producers sharing their fundraising success stories and secrets. This panel discussion will provide a great opportunity for LA's vast theatrical community to ask questions on what it takes to produce a show in Los Angeles. The "Show Me the Money!" event will be a panel discussion and a conversation with the audience to address specific situations and opportunities. All of the panelists are producers with a diverse background of fundraising experience, from attracting wealthy benefactors to leveraging public funds.

From Off-Broadway, North Coast Rep presents WIESENTHAL, a play by Tom Dugan directed by Jenny Sullivan. His 90-minute play is heartfelt, deeply moving and compelling; he makes history come alive. Simon Wiesenthal was a Jewish Austrian Holocaust survivor who became a Nazi hunter after the war. He spent his life tracking down and gathering information on fugitive Nazi war criminals so they could be brought to trial. He was affectionately called 'The Jewish James Bond,' as he recounts his life, like a gripping spy thriller, and how he solved his most sensational cases.

Rubicon Theatre continues the company's 21st 'Coming of Age' season with the World Premiere of WOMEN BEYOND BORDERS, a play inspired by and loosely based on the remarkable journey of Lorraine Serena and a dynamic group of California-based artists who founded the non-profit Women Beyond Borders (WBB).

LAGUNA PLAYHOUSE presents a co-production with the Rubicon Theatre Company, HEISENBERG, written by Simon Stephens (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time) directed by Katherine Farmer (South Pacific, Gulf View Drive) and starring Faline England (Valentine's Day) & Joe Spano (Hill Street Blues and NCIS).

Rubicon Theatre Artistic Director Karyl Lynn Burns today announced that London-based director Katharine Farmer will helm the company's next two productions, a two-piano version of South Pacific (Dec. 5 - 23, 2018) which concludes Rubicon's 20th Anniversary Season, and Heisenberg (Jan. 30 - Feb. 17, 2019), a co-production with Laguna Playhouse, where the show runs Mar. 27 to Apr. 14, 2019).
