The Film Forum to Host Special Screenings of MY DINNER WITH ANDRE and ANDRE GREGORY: BEFORE AND AFTER DINNER

Film Forum will present two special screenings honoring celebrated writer-director-actor-artist André Gregory: MY DINNER WITH ANDRÉ (1981), Louis Malle’s groundbreaking comedy-drama written by and starring Gregory and Wallace Shawn on Monday, May 9 at 8:00 in 35mm; and ANDRÉ GREGORY: BEFORE AND AFTER DINNER, the documentary on Gregory’s life and work, directed by his wife, Cindy Kleine (a Film Forum premiere in 2013) on Wednesday, May 11 at 8:00. In-person Q&As and a book signing of This is Not My Memoir, a collaboration between Gregory and Todd London, will follow both screenings.

The Dramatists Guild of America Announces the Creation of New Inclusion Rider for Theatre

The Dramatists Guild of America today announced the creation of its first ever Inclusion Rider. As part of its commitment to fostering a more equitable, inclusive, and anti-racist industry, the Guild has crafted this Inclusion Rider as a resource to support all dramatists and producers who have a desire to exercise these principles in the hiring of personnel involved in their productions.

KCRep Announces OriginKC: New Works Festival

Frankenstein, a haunting exploration of a 200-year-old horror tale and Legacy Land, a dark-comedy dive into the legacy of sexual abuse make their world premieres during Kansas City Repertory Theatre's annual OriginKC: New Works Festival, March 6-April 5 at Copaken Stage. 3VIEWS ON THEATER Launches This Fall

The Lillys - in partnership with a broad coalition of theater artists - is pleased to announce 3Views on Theater, a new online journal aimed to expand and deepen theater journalism, writing in many voices about our community. 3Views will generate original content in three categories: Reviews, Interviews, and Purviews (articles submitted by theater artists including responses to reviews, original reviews, opinion pieces, and features).

Soho Estates Announces Launch Of Boulevard Theatre

Fawn James (director of Soho Estates) today announced the launch of the Boulevard Theatre in the heart of Soho in Walker's Court. The revived venue is located on the site where her grandfather Paul Raymond opened the original Boulevard Theatre.

Meany Center's Creative Fellowships Initiative Announces Full Roster

The University of Washington has announced the complete roster of artists who have been selected as Creative Research Fellows as part of its first three-year Creative Fellowships Initiative. Funded by a $750,000 grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the interdisciplinary initiative will advance the field of performing arts by supporting artists in the development of new works and by integrating the performing arts disciplines into a broader context academically, artistically, and socially.

Favorites of theatre and screen took to the stage of the American Airlines Theatre in Times Square last night for The 24 Hour Musicals on Broadway. John Mulaney, Bebe Neuwirth, Corey Cott, Savion Glover, Jackie Cruz, Lea Delaria, Emily Estefan, were just a few of the exceptional group of artists who joined forces to write, direct and perform four original musicals within 24 hours, in support of The Lillys.

Corey Cott, Carol Kane & More Join Lineup of THE 24 HOUR MUSICALS

The 24 Hour Plays announced their cast and creative team for The 24 Hour Musicals premiere Broadway event, in partnership with The Lillys. The 24 Hour Musicals will take place on Monday, October 29th at 8 PM at the American Airlines Theatre in Times Square.
