NoPassport Theatre Alliance and Press presents reading of OBIE-winner Caridad Svich's new play FUEL starring Jo Lampert (JOAN OF ARC: INTO THE FIRE, the Public), Alex Esola (A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE, Broadway), Luis Vega (TELL HECTOR I MISS HIM, Atlantic Theater Company), Sofia Jean Gomez (ANGELS IN AMERICA Parts 1 and 2, Signature Theatre Company), and Charlie Pollock (TV's THE GOOD WIFE) on October 4, 2017 at 7 p.m. at the Sheen Center Studio B under Erin Ortman's direction.

Holly Arsenault - playwright, arts administrator and Gregory Award winner - has been hired as the new Director of External Relations for the School of Drama at the University of Washington. Ms. Arsenault is leaving her position as the Executive Director of TeenTix where she worked for over ten years, helping to shape its mission and giving thousands of Puget Sound teenagers the opportunity to attend arts and cultural events in the Seattle area.

The University of Washington School of Drama, under the leadership of Executive Director Todd London, has announced its 2016-2017 Season. As with their 75th anniversary season, the School of Drama will continue to build artistic partnerships with both local and national artists in an effort to provide more diverse learning opportunities for their students and create a laboratory environment within the School. Teatro Vista announces the Chicago premiere of In the Time of the Butterflies, written by Lifetime Achievement Obie Award Winner Caridad Svich, based on Julia Álvarez's acclaimed novel, and directed by Ricardo Gutierrez, playing in the Richard Christiansen Theater at Victory Gardens Theater, 2433 N. Lincoln, April 16 - May 22. Opening night is Friday, April 22 at 7:30 p.m. Preview performances run from Thursday, April 16 through Thursday, April 21. Regular performances are Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. Tickets are $20 for previews, $25 for Thursdays and Fridays, and $30 for Saturday and Sunday performances. Students and seniors (+65 years or older) with valid ID are able to purchase $17 tickets. Discounts are also available for groups of 10 or more.
