Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS’ in-theater Red Bucket fundraising concluded its fall campaign with 36 Broadway, Off-Broadway and national touring productions raising $5,107,791 to provide meals and medication, health care and hope for those living with HIV/AIDS, dealing with COVID-19 or facing other debilitating illnesses this holiday season.

The Tony Award-winning hit musical SIX by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, welcomes new Queens tonight, December 5, 2022, to Broadway’s Lena Horne Theatre.

The 2022 Pulitzer Prize-winning comedy Fat Ham by James Ijames will make its Broadway premiere in 2023. The Public’s Associate Artistic Director and Resident Director Saheem Ali returns to direct the complete original Off-Broadway cast, including Nikki Crawford as “Tedra,” Chris Herbie Holland as “Tio,” Billy Eugene Jones as “Rev” and “Pap,” Adrianna Mitchell as “Opal,” Calvin Leon Smith as “Larry,” Marcel Spears as “Juicy,” and Benja Kay Thomas as “Rabby.”

The Hollywood Critics Association (HCA) announced that Angela Bassett will receive the HCA Acting Achievement Award, Rian Johnson will receive the HCA Filmmaking Achievement Award, and the cast and crew of RRR will be presented with HCA Spotlight Award at the 6th Annual HCA Film Awards.

TINA – THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL will play limited engagements at two venues in the San Francisco Bay Area—August 1–27, 2022 San Francisco’s Golden Gate Theatre, as part of BroadwaySF’s 2022/23 season and August 29–September 3, 2023 at San Jose’s Center for the Performing Arts, as part of Broadway San Jose’s 2022/23 season.

The event of the year is back! Arts Ignite has announced the return of its annual benefit concert, New York City Christmas: A Concert to Benefit Arts Ignite, taking place on Monday, December 12 at 7:00 PM at Joe's Pub at The Public in New York City.

BIRDLAND JAZZ CLUB will present the return of Karen Mason with her concert “Christmas! Christmas! Christmas!” on Monday, December 19 at 7:00 PM. Mason’s legendary holiday show features unique interpretations of old and new seasonal classics.

The Music Hall and Ogunquit Playhouse has announced the cast of Elf The Musical, on stage from November 30 – December 18 at The Music Hall in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Based on the beloved film, Elf The Musical is the hilarious tale of Buddy, a young orphan child who mistakenly crawls into Santa's bag of gifts and is transported back to the North Pole and raised as one of Santa's elves.

Barry Kleinbort, multi-award director, composer, lyricist, and librettist joins “Jamie deRoy & friends” as co-host.  He will team with Jamie deRoy, the legendary 10-time Tony Award Broadway Producer and founder of her popular long-running talk show.

Hennepin Theatre Trust has announced that TINA – THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL will make its Minnesota debut for 16 performances from Wednesday, March 1 to Sunday, March 12, 2023 at the historic Orpheum Theatre (910 Hennepin Ave.) as part of the 2022-2023 Bank of America Broadway on Hennepin season.

Mike McCullagh, the man behind the phenomenally popular “60 Something” has become something of a legend in the entertainment and music industry.  Mike McCully & The Harmonix brought you the highly successful ABBA and Beatles Tributes and That 80s Show this year. They will be back their new show, “LEGENDS”, featuring legendary songs and artists from the 60s to the 90s.

Pangea’s holiday tree will be all a-blaze with garlands of mirthful Downtown artistry this December, featuring Sidney Myer, Tammy McCann, Roz White, and more.
