Kicking off the 2019-20 season of Dallas' Theatre Three is a new spin on literary classic DRACULA. Conceived by Theatre Three Associate Artistic Director Christie Vela and local playwright Michael Federico, this original play takes the stage October 3 through October 27. Tickets are now on sale.

The Making Treaty 7 Cultural Society is excited to announce their 2019/2020 Season lineup in their new home as a resident company at The Grand. 

La MaMa in association with the Obie award-winning Theatre Three Collaborative announce their exciting cast for new cli-fi eco-feminist fable OTHER THAN WE, written and directed by Karen Malpede. It is their first play to take place in the future and an utterly original work from Theatre Three Collaborative. Other Than We will play a two-week limited engagement at The Downstairs at La MaMa (66 E 4th St, New York, NY 10003). Following the recent run of Scary Bikers at Trafalgar Studios, The John Godber Company today announces the world première of John Godber's This is not Right. Godber directs Frazer Hammill (Dad) and Martha Godber (Holly Parker) in the production which opens on 2 October, with previews from 1 October, and runs until 5 October.

NTPA is pleased to welcome professional actor and educator Cheryl Lowber to its staff as a Resident Director.  

Executive producers Ronnie Marmo and Joe Mantegna, along with Theatre 68 and producers Laura Buchwald and Bren Rapp presents the world premiere of Jessica Cavanagh's Self-Injurious Behavior. Directed by Marianne Galloway and presented in Special Partnership with Autism Works Now. The show, which had a workshop at Theatre Three (Dallas) in May 2018 and then an off-Broadway showcase in April, will have its official world premiere September 6, 2019, with previews beginning Aug. 30, at Theatre 68 Los Angeles.

Queens-based Rude Grooms announced today initial details for the company's second annual free summer production touring parks and art spaces in Astoria and Long Island City: William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, led by actor-manager Montgomery Sutton (Twelfth Night at Shakespeare's Globe) and produced in partnership with Long Island City Artists at the Plaxall Gallery and the Astoria Park Alliance and is made possible (in part) by the Queens Council on the Arts with public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council.

Reading Rep Theatre and A Girl Called Stephen today announce the full casts for their double bill coproduction of verbatim plays Locker Room Talk by Gary McNair, and Safe by Alexis Gregory. For Locker Room Talk, Christie O'Carroll directs Sasha Clarke (Actor 1), Emily Joh Miller (Actor 2), Sivan Raphaelly (Actor 3), and Tilda Wickham (Actor 4). Annie Kershaw directs Joshua Asare (Samuel), Sasha Clarke (Alecia), Elijah Ferreira (Jack), and Emily Joh Miller (Tami) in Safe.

Wheelhouse Theater Company's Life Sucks, by Aaron Posner and directed by Jeff Wise, opened just last night. The production runs to September, 1 2019 with a Sunday, June 16 opening night in Theatre Three at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues).

Walking the Beat, a pioneering arts education program for inner city high school youth and police officers, is coming to Hollywood this summer, courtesy of the Fountain Theatre.

The world premiere of Selina Fillinger's THE ARMOR PLAYS: CINCHED & STRAPPED rounds out the 2018-2019 Theatre Three season with a new play that would likely be banned in Alabama based on today's headlines. From the madcap composure of the dining room to the dank wonder of the underground, women fight to escape futures laid out for them.

The OBIE Award-winning NAATCO, National Asian American Theatre Company, kicks off their 29th season with the World Premiere of Gordon Dahlquist's [Veil Widow Conspiracy]. Aneesha Kudtarkar directs a cast that will include Edward Chin-Lyn, Kimiye Corwin, Bruce McKenzie, David Shih, James Seol, Karoline Xu, and Aaron Yoo. This Off-Broadway limited engagement at Next Door at New York Theatre Workshop (79 East 4th Street) will begin performances Saturday June 8th with Opening Night set for June 15th (7pm).  Performances continue through July 6th only.

La Jolla Playhouse announced today the appointment of National Disability Theatre (NDT) Co-Executive Directors Talleri A. McRae and Mickey Rowe as the Playhouse's 2019/2020 Artists-in-Residence.

Casa Mañana is thrilled to name B.J. Cleveland as the new director of theatre for youth. Cleveland will direct all Children's Theatre productions amongst other duties, including serving as teaching artist and camp director for Casa Mañana Studios, Casa Mañana's premiere theatre school.
