Utopia Theatre Announces Full Program of Online Events

Utopia Theatre has announced the full programme for its Creative Hub. Over 40 African Theatre professionals will be offering free online workshops and masterclasses to people of African origin aged 16 and above. The programme will feature a variety of performances that will be streamed live from Monday 29 June to December 2020.

Trinity Rep Announces Pulitzer Prize-Winning Drama SWEAT

Trinity Rep continues its 2019-20 Season with Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Sweat by Lynn Nottage. This Broadway hit is the story of the unintended consequences of community without opportunity. It is set during the Great Recession and in the years leading up to it in Reading, Pennsylvania, while friends try to stay afloat as their industrial jobs begin to disappear. This relevant and timely topic shines a light on American workers that are often forgotten.

Liz Callaway, Sheldon Harnick and More Join York Theatre 50th Anniversary Season Events in March

The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director; Evans Haile, Executive Director), dedicated to the development of new musicals and rediscovery of musical gems from the past, as part of its 50th Anniversary season celebration, will present two added special events during the month of March: York Chat: Musicals in Mufti: 118 and Counting, the second in a series of panel discussions, _An Evening with Sheldon Harnick and Friends_ a special concert featuring Sheldon Harnick, Liz Callaway, and Karen Ziemba. Both special events will take place at The York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's (entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue).

Three Script In Hand Ensemble Performances Will Explore The Role Women Have Played In Greek Theatre 

The Resident Acting Company, formed two years ago by members of the Pearl Theater Company, announced today that they will present Women In Greek Theatre, three script in hand performances that will explore the important role that female characters have played in ancient Greek theatre. La Jolla Playhouse Launches 2020 POP Tour, Developed In Partnership With National Disability Theatre

La Jolla Playhouse is pleased to launch its 2020 Performance Outreach Program (POP) Tour production: Emily Driver's Great Race through Time and Space, by A.A. Brenner and Gregg Mozgala, directed by National Disability Theatre (NDT) Co-Executive Directors and Playhouse Artists-in-Residence Talleri A. McRae and Mickey Rowe. The production will tour schools throughout San Diego County January 29 a?" March 27.  Commissioned by the Playhouse, this world-premiere play for young audiences will also have four public performances on February 29 and March 1 at 1:00pm and 3:00pm at La Jolla Playhouse. Fellowship for Performing Arts' PARADISE LOST Has Been Extended

Fellowship for Performing Arts announced today that the New York premiere of Paradise Lost will extend due to popular demand. Originally scheduled to conclude its run on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2020, Paradise Lost will now play an additional week, through Sunday, March 1, 2020.
