Well-Strung, the innovative and eclectic New York City-based string quartet that derives their unique blend of vocals and strings by fusing classical music with the pop music of today, has announced that their latest album, Under the Covers will be released September 14, 2018. Their third album, Under the Covers will feature a collection of covers that combine everyone from Lady Gaga and Vivaldi to Queen and Rossini.  The quartet, who have quickly gained international attention, playing in London, Rome and Vienna and selling out venues all across the United States, features Edmund Bagnell (first violin), Christopher Marchant (second violin), Daniel Shevlin (cello) and Trevor Wadleigh (viola). A follow-up to their chart-topping sophomore album POPssical (released in 2015), Under the Covers is now available for pre-order at this link, on iTunes, Amazon, and wherever music is sold.

Two River Theater announces the lineup for its 8th annual Crossing Borders (Cruzando Fronteras) festival of Latinx play readings and celebration of work by Latinx theater artists. The festival will take place August 2-5 and will include free readings of new plays, live music, and conversations with artists.

TheatreWorks Silicon Valley kicks off its 2018/19 season with Hold These Truths by Jeanne Sakata, an inspiring true story following Gordon Hirabayashi, a Japanese-American student who fought internment to a relocation camp during World War II. This Northern California premiere celebrates the human spirit as it chronicles Hirabayashi's journey from college in Seattle all the way to the Supreme Court, and eventually to a Presidential Medal of Freedom. Directed by Lisa Rothe, with Joel de la Fuente starring as Hirabayashi, Hold These Truths shares the story of a young man who passionately defends his Constitutional rights against an unexpected adversary: his own country.
