Rufus Norris, the former Director of the National Theatre, has been knighted by HM The King in the King’s 2025 Birthday Honours for his services to Theatre.

William Dudley, an innovative set and costume designer in the English theater scene, has passed away at the age of 78. Throughout his career, Dudley's work was seen on numerous stages presented by theater and opera companies in the UK, including The National Theatre, The Royal Shakespeare Company, and more.

The National Theatre announced that its sold-out, critically acclaimed production of The Importance of Being Earnest will transfer to the West End this autumn in a co-production with Sonia Friedman Productions.
