McDougall casts it entirely gender-blind, making it a piece where gender doesn’t matter, even though its role is at the very core of it. Theatre Lovett produce work for all ages and tour extensively nationally and internationally. Their recent co-production with The Gate Theatre, The Tin Soldier, won the 'Best Soundscape' award at the Irish Times Theatre Awards 2022 whilst 2020's opera Hansel and Gretel (Engelbert Humperdinck) co-produced with Irish National Opera and The Abbey Theatre received the 'Best opera - overall theatrical experience.'  

Sounds from a Safe Harbour Festival 2023 adds three dance and literature shows to their music line-up: Max Porter presents SHY: An evening of storytelling, with special music guests; Megan Barker presents KIT: An evening of storytelling, with special music guests; and Luke Murphy presents 'Volcano'.

The Everyman has announced its summer 2023 programme. The season's highlight will be The Everyman's production of The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams which runs from Wednesday, Augiust 2nd to Saturday, August 26th. It will be directed by Emma Jordan, director of the acclaimed production of Enda Walsh's The New Electric Ballroom (The Gate Theatre) which toured to the theatre earlier this year.   

Laguna Playhouse announced, in association with Gare St. Lazare, Ireland and the Rubicon Theatre Company, Faline England, Sorcha Fox, Conor Lovett and Joe Spano starring in the rolling Southern California premiere of THE REALISTIC JONESES, written by Will Eno and directed by Judy Hegarty-Lovett.

As celebrations continue for the 400th Anniversary of the First Folio across 2023, Shakespeare’s Globe will return to Westminster Abbey for the hugely popular Shakespeare in the Abbey for six special performances beginning this evening and running until Friday 31 March.

Shakespeare's Globe has announced the cast of A Midsummer Night's Dream, directed by Elle While (The Merry Wives of Windsor, 2019; As You Like It, Hamlet, 2018).

Sleepova, an ode to black women and their boundless spirits and wild dreams is a new Bush commission from Matilda Feyiṣayọ Ibini (Little Miss Burden) opening on 24 February 2023 (press night 1 March).  Sleepova marks the stage debut of three actresses including Bukky Bakray (Rocks), who at 19, became the youngest BAFTA Rising Star Award recipient as well as one of the youngest 'Best Actress in a Leading Role' nominees.

Irish Arts Center will present the U.S. premiere of THISISPOPBABY’s Conversations After Sex, written by Mark O’Halloran and directed by Tom Creed. Performances take place February 22-March 11.

The Everyman has launched its spring season, starring renowned writers, award-winning shows, and fan favourites. The featured production sees Reggie from the Blackrock Road return to The Everyman stage with a 12-performance run of his new show, Reggie's Guide to Social Climbing. Produced by The Everyman, this world premiere sees the millionaire acting as mentor to Ireland's nouveau riche, providing guidance on how to eat, drink, flirt, and behave like a member of Cork's One Per Cent.
