Forever Flamenco! - The acclaimed series, back home at the intimate Fountain Theatre, goes 'back to basics,' presenting a Cuadro of flamenco artists: two dancers (the deep and soulful Briseyda Zarate and the brave, exciting Mizuho Sato), a singer (passionate Jesus Montoya), and a guitarist (master Flamenco artist Jose Tanaka), artists who have worked together for years and can feel each other's every move and note. With only 78 seats in four rows, the Fountain is the perfect place to view flamenco.

Directed by Stephen Sachs and starring Morlan Higgins, Julanne Chidi Hill and Jacqueline Schultz, The Blue Iris opens at the Fountain on August 24, with low-priced previews beginning August 18.

Release Point by Gino DiIorio, directed by Jeff Zinn will be presented on July 11; Apeshit (note: if unprintable, please spell it Apesh!t) by Philip Gerson, directed by Bob Jaffe on July 23; and Existing Privilege by James DeMarse, directed by Matthew Penn on August 8.

The excitement of last weekend's opening night performance of Cyrano by Stephen Sachs, a co-production between The Fountain Theatre and Deaf West Theatre, was given an added thrill by the attendance of film/TV actress Marlee Matlin. Matlin is a longtime supporter and patron of Deaf West, and she starred in the CBS television movie version of Sachs' 1997 play Sweet Nothing in my Ear, which also premiered at the Fountain.
