From August 25 to September 2, Theater for the New City's Dream Up Festival will present the world premiere of a new translation by Robert Greer of August Strindberg's 'The Father,' directed by Mr. Greer and performed by an ensemble of actors from August Strindberg Rep, who developed the piece in a workshop production last November at Gene Frankel Theatre.

Lindsey Kay is a manager, producer, and assistant who works with drag queens all over the city. She is the ultimate behind the scenes mover and shaker. But she's also been trapped in quicksand and struck by lightning, pursued by a hitman, and held hostage by a Yogi who just really liked her... energy.

Cabaret patroness Madame Mathieu has selected Alex Wyse (Spring Awakening, Waitress) and Erica Lustig (Hair, National Pastime) as guests of honor at the August edition of Bistro Awards Critics' Pick Madame's Soiree. The show is now in its fourth hit season at The Duplex. The Broadway duo will be joined on the program by a distinguished group of emerging artists from a variety of disciplines.

The coffeehouse meets the cabaret as a?oePoetry/Cabareta?? (Time Out NY-recommended) returns after a hit first season at The Green Room 42, to once again bring together poets and performers in an evening of stimulating variations on a theme. Season two opens with a?oePoetry/Cabaret: RECLAIMED!a?? as curator and host Thomas March (Aftermath) and the cast reclaim their time, themselves, their sense, and their sanitya?"or rediscover what's been there all along.

Lauren Pelaia is an actress, singer/songwriter and composer originally from New Jersey. As an actress, she has appeared in Productions such as Two Star Motel (NYC Premiere, Halley), Little Shop of Horrors (Algonquin Arts Theatre, Crystal) and Grease (New Jersey Repertory Theatre, Sandy).

IndieWorks Theatre Company announces the second show of its Summer Cabaret Series. The cabaret, Dirty Little Ditties, features direction by Christopher Michaels, music direction by Jonathon Lynch, and features additional parody lyrics written by Peter Saxe.

Sydney Cabaret Festival Artistic Director Trevor Ashley opened the inaugural SYDNEY CABARET FESTIVAL with a delightful amuse-bouche of performances at the ALL STAR GALA. 

The Alliance of Alien Artists - an organization dedicated to helping emerging artists from other countries explore and succeed at having a career in America - primarily New York - has offered an agreement to actress & singer, Adi Schor. On the heels of AAA's well-received production of American Dream at the Duplex and Ms. Schor's own critical acclaim creating the role of Catherine in the play, Heaven Sent, written by Bambi Everson, Maya Avisar of AAA and Schor connected and now she is a repertory member part of projects-in-development through 2020!

Due to technical issues (or spy interference) the Off Broadway premiere of I Spy A Spy, a new (declassified) musical comedy, with book and lyrics by Jamie Jackson and book & music by SoHee Youn, directed and choreographed by Bill Castellino (Cagney, Desperate Measures) with musical direction by Dan Pardo (Amazing Grace) will now begin its limited engagement (through September 21) at The Theatre at St. Clement's (423 West 46th Street - between 9th & 10th Avenues) on Saturday, July 6th at 8pm. The show will have its official opening on Thursday, July 18th at 7pm.

Inspired by the fiery volcanoes of Alaska and the swampy potato marshes of Idaho, unfamous feminist and militant joker Sally Ann Hall has a comedic style that combines wit and charm with childlike bladder control.

The American Dream: A Story of Two Crazy Broke Asians is a musical revue, following the journey of two young women, in a search for happiness - and for themselves. Yanzi, a hopeless romantic, is following her love from Taiwan to New York City, where she reconnects with her old friend Grace, who is struggling with life in the big Apple as she tries to tough it out on her own.

FEINSTEIN'S54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Guilty Pleasures Cabaret for the fifth time in 'Speakeasy Social' on July 27, 2019 at 11:30pm.

A Southern Fairytale, written by and starring Broadway World award-winning actor Ty Autry and directed by David L. Carson, will be returning to New York after last year's performance at NYSummerfest with a completely reimagined script for an afternoon event at The Duplex Piano Bar and Cabaret Theatre on June 28th at 4:30 PM, straight off its international success in Dublin, Ireland at the International Dublin Gay Theatre Festival (IDGTF).

Actor, kabarettist and proud recipient of the 2019 Denovan Fellowship in Cabaret, Amy Jo Jackson stars as the Women of Tennessee Williams in a show conceived of and crafted specifically for The Duplex Cabaret stage.
