Russell Fischer (the DooWop Project, Broadway's Jersey Boys) and MAC and Bistro Award winner Sierra Rein have joined the cast of IndieWorks Theatre Company's (Christopher Michaels, Producing Artistic Director), Saxe and the City: The Music & Lyrics of Peter Saxe, with direction by Christopher Michaels and music direction by Jonathon Lynch and Peter Saxe.

Cabaret patroness Madame Mathieu has selected Eric Anthony Lopez (The Phantom of the Opera) and MiMi Scardulla (We Are the Tigers) as guests of honor at the September edition of Bistro Awards Critics' Pick Madame's Soiree. The show is now in its fourth hit season at The Duplex. The Broadway duo will be joined on the program by a distinguished group of emerging artists from a variety of disciplines.

Travis Moser, a staple of the New York City cabaret scene, has released a new album of songs in tribute to legendary singer Linda Ronstadt. Travis's latest full length album, titled Just One Look: The Songs of Linda Ronstadt, was recorded live and is based on his sold-old show of the same name, which premiered at The Green Room 42 and featured special guests Molly Pope, Jack Bartholet, Cathy Cervenka and Daryl Glenn. During the run of the show, Front Row Center raved, 'If you ever see Travis Moser's name come up on a marquee, treat yourself and get a ticket.'

Michael McAssey makes his return to Chicago cabaret on over a decade at Drew's On Halsted. McAssey will perform for two nights- Friday, August 30 and Sunday, September 1, in Gentry Nights, which will pay homage to his former piano bar home on Rush,and State Streets and the Halsted strip. The evening promises to be a return to a magical night of showtunes and shenanigans that Michael brought to his shows.
