There will be two workshop readings for EL BACALAO: The Catfish Man, a new, full-length play written by Latina playwright Desi Moreno-Penson. The readings will be directed by SDC Director KM Jones and will feature the acting talents of Jose Febus, Michael Tyler Jennings, Laura E. Johnston (Stage Directions), Desi Moreno-Penson, Susanne Pinedo, Yessenia Rivas, Kathy Tejada, and Fidel Vicioso.

The DOWNTOWN URBAN ARTS FESTIVAL will present 16 plays (nine shorts and seven one-acts.) The festival kicks off on Friday, May 5 and Saturday, May 6 when Savion Glover and Reg E. Gaines (Bring in da Noise Bring in da Funk) make a much-anticipated return to The Public Theater with the centerpiece production If Trane Wuz Here.

Directed by Academy Award winner Bobby Moresco, Academy Award nominee Chazz Palminteri (Bullets Over Broadway, A Bronx Tale) leads a cast featuring Gabe Furman, Kathleen Simmonds and Connor Chase Stewart.

Don’t Tell Mama NYC presents Comedian-Actor-Playwright-Storyteller Chris Ferretti in Loaded For Lunacy on February 18, 2023. The show, which will be taped, starts @ 8:00 PM. Doors open @ 7:15 PM.

Ensemble Studio Theatre has appointed Estefanía Fadul and Graeme Gillis the new Co-Artistic Directors of the 55-year-old award-winning off-Broadway theater company.

Theatre at St. Clement’s to present a one night only staged reading of Zaglada, a new play by Richard Vetere, directed by Dan Wackerman at Theatre at St. Clement’s on Monday, January 23 at 7pm. Admission is free.
