Be An #ArtsHero/Arts Workers United has announced a partnership with Ovation TV, America’s premiere arts network, to debut The Green Room with Nadia Brown, a five-part original comedic journalism series celebrating and exploring the creative economy.

Directed by Tung Jit Yang, The Actors Studio’s Director in-Residence, the piece tells the story of six young members of Keluarga Malaysia as they attempt to stage Hans Christian Andersen’s “The Emperor’s New Clothes” for you.

The Theater for the New City production of 'Sometime Child: a Reclamation and a Redemption' by Richard Bruce, previously scheduled for February 10 to 20, was struck by Covid in the cast. That forced the run to be postponed on its opening day.

BroadwayWorld is saddened to report that playwright Arthur Giron passed away February 2, 2022. He co-wrote the Broadway musical Amazing Grace (2015) with Christopher Smith.

Actors Theatre of Indiana will begin 2022 with their production of The Big Bang beginning January 28, 2022 and running through February 20, 2022. Actors Theatre of Indiana shows are performed at the Studio Theater inside of The Center for the Performing Arts in Carmel, IN.

Trustus Theatre has announced that their new Executive Director, Jessica Francis Fichter, will start on January 4th, 2022. Fichter has a rich theatrical background including a B.A. in theatre education, an M. Ed in divergent learning, and an M.F.A in directing from the Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University in New York City.

With great sadness, we announce the loss of Edward Allan Baker, beloved father, grandfather, brother, husband, playwright, teacher, colleague, and friend.  Ed Baker passed away on Saturday evening, November 20th 2021, surrounded by love from friends and family, at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport,  CT.

The Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Center recently presented the first concert in its VOICE STARS series. This concert featured the 15 contestants who are disabled of different categories from Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei,  battling for the first time.

VOICE STARS is the first online reality show and international singing competition for the disabled, lead by a team of blind youths, organised by the Youth Development Committee of the Society of the Blind in Malaysia (YDCSBM), supported by The Actors Studio & The Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (klpac) and Leo Club of Kuala Lumpur Central.
