The Fulton Theatre has announced complete casting of their holiday production of Irving Berlin's White Christmas. Will Ray (Bob Wallace) and Hanley Smith (Betty Haynes) join forces once again.

Bill Hanney's award-winning North Shore Music Theatre will present LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, the deviously delicious sci-fi musical that has devoured the hearts of theatre goers for over 30 years. LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS is open for business on stage from Tuesday, September 20 thru Sunday, October 2, 2022.

For its third 2022 main stage production, Maine State Music Theatre has mounted a brilliant, beautiful, authentic, and heartwarming staging of the musical adaptation of Alice Walker’s epistolary novel, THE COLOR PURPLE. Faye Butler, it becomes one of those unforgettable, transformative moments in the theatre.

Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe will close its 2021-2022 season with two world-premiere one-act plays, under the auspices of its New Playwrights Series. These plays, “From Birmingham To Broadway” and “Float Like A Butterfly,” will be presented together May 4-29.

On April 4, Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe presented its lively and music-filled fundraiser, the April Fools Fête, in the ballroom at Michael’s On East. This year’s country-themed celebration was a sold-out success, with 300 community members in attendance – most of them wearing cowboy and cowgirl-appropriate attire. The event raised more than $200,000 in support of WBTT’s education programs.

The Fulton Theatre swings into the new year with one of Broadway's longest running musicals, Chicago. Opening on January 24, 2019, the Fulton's distinctive production of Chicago is set to be the hottest show of the season, and will channel the alluring luster of 1920's vaudeville. Featuring a two story band stand, flying jail cells, and set elements that extend into the audience, Chicago is sure to be a spectacle so alluring it should be criminal. The dazzling set was designed by Adam Koch, who recently wowed audiences with his set design for Fulton Theatre's The Hunchback of Notre Dame. The Fulton's costumes are a departure from the simple all-black garb of the Broadway revival. Featuring glistening sequins, feathers, and boas, the Fulton's costumes epitomize one of the show's most iconic numbers, "Razzle Dazzle". The exquisite costumes are designed by Fulton regular, Ryan J. Moller, who has crafted wardrobes for some of the Fulton Theatre's biggest shows including Disney's Beauty and the Beast and Robin and Clark's Treasure Island, A Musical Adventure.
