New York Theatre Barn will host a free live stream of its New Works Series on Wednesday, October 14th, 2020 at 7PM EDT, featuring excerpts from the new musicals Love & Southern D!scomfort and Present Perfect. The live 45-minute presentation will also feature a conversation with the writers and creative team.

Today Patton Daye Slater Productions announced the forthcoming release of the haunting new single 'Liquid Courage,' a song from the upcoming musical theatre concept album Love & Southern D!scomfort. 'Liquid Courage' features music and lyrics by Bobby Daye, lyrics by Monica L. Patton, and vocals by Broadway veteran Ramona Keller.

New York Theatre Barn will continue to host weekly free live streams of its New Works Series each Wednesday evening at 7PM ET. Upcoming installments of the series include excerpts from the new musicals The King's Wife, Love and Southern D!scomfort, Shapeshifters: A Queer Comic Book Musical, Present Perfect and more.

Shakespeare's haunting psychological tale of raw political ambition is re-imagined as a virtual, immersive auditory experience with Macbeth: A Surround Sound Experiment. This all-new intimate 3D audio event, features an immersive soundscape by Will Padilla, with direction and adaptation by Joseph Discher.

On September 24th, at 8PM PT, the Grok Acting Studio will be premiering 'Virtual Theater - Stories of Color' of three selected short plays celebrating artists of color. The Grok Acting Studio, The Rose Theater Foundation for the Arts, and the Department of Cultural Affairs of Los Angeles have all contributed to making this series possible to bring audiences back to theater -- online due to the current pandemic.

Variety reports that Daniel Dae Kim, Giancarlo Esposito, and more have united to read Superman radio plays from the 1940s.

On July 9 (6:30pm EDT), Black Theatre United founding member and moderator Audra McDonald will join Sherrilyn Ifill (President of the NAACP Legal Defense Fund) in conversation for Black Theatre United's Inaugural event 'Activating Black Artists and Allies for Racial Justice'

This Konversations with Keeme showcases the protest and a celebration of black culture on June 19th, 2020 or 'Juneteenth' that Keeme and his newly formed Youth Leaders Council organized.  The protest was in New Haven CT and marched to City Hall. There were performances led by local artists, speakers, and activists. The march  continued to protest down to the New Haven Police Department (NHPD).
