More than sixty performers and playwrights from stage and screen have joined together for Period Piece, a special project to destigmatize menstrual cycles. This original work about periods and the people who get them will premiere Monday, April 12, 2021 at 8 pm ET with performances Monday, April 19 and Monday, April 26.

The Guilford Performing Arts Festival (GPAF) is tripling its number of Artists' Awards this year to six, and the total grant money available to $15,000, in an effort to support the creation of new work by Connecticut performers and provide some relief for artists who have lost income during the coronavirus pandemic.
The Bridge Initiative: Women+ in Theatre (TBI) offers a virtual series called SAI: Scratching our Artistic Itches. Every Sunday at 1pm, TBI presents a live, one-time-only reading of a unproduced play or a Pulitzer Prize winner. The playwrights are often in attendance and participate in the Q&A that follows. Actors are mostly from the Valley but some live in other parts of the country from Los Angeles to New York. And all participants receive a stipend for their time.
