Shakespeare's Globe has announced the cast of A Midsummer Night's Dream, directed by Elle While (The Merry Wives of Windsor, 2019; As You Like It, Hamlet, 2018).

StudioCanal’s RED Production Company is currently developing a four-part miniseries based on the award-winning musical Standing at the Sky’s Edge.

Lake Como, Northern Italy, 1944. Partisan Sordi (Fellini’s THE WHITE SHIEK and I VITELLONI, etc.), on the run from the Germans, is sheltered, nursed and romanced in an abandoned mill by local innkeeper’s daughter Massari (L’AVVENTURA, MURMUR OF THE HEART, CHRIST STOPPED AT EBOLI), whisking her to Rome after the war to share his shabby flat.

The Lavender Hill Mob based on the screenplay by T.E.B. Clarke, adapted for the stage by Phil Porter opens in Brighton next week. 

Full casting is announced for the UK tour of The Lavender Hill Mob, based on the screenplay by T.E.B. Nighy will reunite with stars Oscar and Emmy® nominee and BAFTA Award winner Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Years a Slave) and Oscar, BAFTA® and Screen Actors Guild® Award nominee Naomie Harris (Moonlight), both of whom he worked with on previous projects. The series also stars Jimmi Simpson, Rob Delaney, Sonya Cassidy, Joana Ribeiro, and Kate Mulgrew.

In Jonathan Rockefeller’s Paddington Saves Christmas, Paddington helps his grumpy neighbor, Mr. Curry, who is panicking before the arrival of an important visitor for the holidays. Paddington volunteers to help Mr. Curry prepare his house for Christmas, but in typical Paddington fashion, his good intentions lead from one problem to the next.

The largest streaming event of this kind, Paddington Saves Christmas will stream simultaneously in the UK, US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, is available now through until January 4, 2022. This is the first production created by Rockefeller Studios, marking Rockefeller’s expansion into filmed content.
