'CMT Crossroads' Returns to Nashville with Summer Block Party Featuring Brooks & Dunn

Today, CMT announced that GRAMMY Award-winning, best-selling country duo Brooks & Dunn will take the stage with some of the brightest young talent in country music during a special public taping of “CMT Crossroads,” the network's flagship music series. The hour-long show will tape in downtown Nashville on Tuesday, June 4 and will premiere on CMT on Friday, June 28 at 10 p.m. ET.

Eight Summer Performances Take The Utah Symphony To Communities Around The Wasatch Front

The Utah Symphony today announced the lineup for the 2019 summer community concert series in Salt Lake City and surrounding areas, several of which feature outdoor venues and free performances. The schedule includes orchestra performances in Layton on June 17, Gallivan Center on Monday June 24, Thanksgiving Point on June 26, Taylorsville Dayzz on June 27, Utah Cultural Celebration Center on July 1, Red Butte Garden Amphitheatre on July 2, and Snowbasin on July 3. The final summer concert is in commemoration of Zion National Park's 100th anniversary, with a special performance of the orchestra with Sting on Aug. 31, 2019. No tickets are required for the Gallivan Center and Utah Cultural Celebration Center performances, which are free to the public. Tickets for the other performances are on sale now with ticketing information available at www.utahsymphony.org.

In support of Mental Health Awareness Month, The Trash Mermaids, led by Scarlett Blu, release their vulnerable new anthem “Panic Attack.” The track, which premiered exclusively with New Noise Magazine, shares the realities of living with mental health issues. “Panic Attack” follows The Trash Mermaids' Earth Day song 'Stoked On Life,” in which all proceeds are being donated to Mission Blue in support of ocean conservation. The Trash Mermaids will bring both songs to life at Strange 80s 3D benefit show at The Fonda Theatre on June 1, where she is set to perform alongside acts such as Lindsey Stirling, Gavin Rossdale, Weezer and more.

Summer Theatre in Sweden: Open Air Theaters and Upcoming Concerts

The theaters in Sweden are closing one by one for the season and will not open again until mid september. But instead the open air theaters starts to open. Theater lovers will bring their picnic baskets and sometimes even their own chairs. The theaters/concerts arenas are sometimes very spectacular as the Dalhalla https://www.dalhalla.se/evenemang/ arena or very small and local as Sund Nergarden. Both capture the Swedish spirit very well. You can find open air theaters and concert arenas in several places in Sweden. Dalhalla is an old limestone quarry which now is an amazing open air arena in stunning setting and the summer program has artist like Iggy Pop, Peter Joback, The Hives, Pink Floyd and New Order.

Last night, BMI (Broadcast Music, Inc.) paid tribute to the best in songwriting at its 67th Annual BMI Pop Awards held at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. World-renowned singer/songwriter and musician Stingwas celebrated for “Every Breath You Take” becoming the Most Performed Song in BMI's repertoire of over 14 million musical works, GRAMMY Award-winning band Imagine Dragons received the BMI President's Award and legendary music publishing executiveMartin Bandier was named a BMI Icon. The private event, hosted by BMI President and CEO Mike O'Neill and Vice President, Worldwide Creative Barbara Cane, also saluted the songwriters and publishers of the past year's most-performed Pop songs in the United States from BMI's extensive catalog.
