Legendary, GRAMMY-award winning band Fleetwood Mac announced today a European tour, set to kick off in June with three exclusive performances currently announced in London, Dublin and Berlin. Produced by Live Nation, the tour will feature the newly announced line-up of Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Stevie Nicks, and Christine McVie along with newcomers Mike Campbell and Neil Finn. 

There is a moment during the closing scene of Andrew Lloyd Webber's School of Rock when the show transforms from a mere crowd pleasing musical, to a pure and unadulterated celebration. Having witnessed the young students of Horace Green Preparatory School fully evolve from disenfranchised, rule-following and generally unhappy children, to confident rock stars willing to 'stick it to the man,' the audience cannot help but leap to its feet and join the party at the top of Mount Rock. More than a local battle of the bands, it is a celebration of the importance of arts education, the power of inspiring teachers, the joys of finding one's voice, and of the mind-blowing capacity for so much talent to exist in such small bodies and at such an early age. Judging by the standing ovation that began before and continued throughout the curtain call, it is clear that the Orpheum audience was fully invested in these young characters, and that School of Rock had therefore done its job. Indeed, this culminating scene is the ultimate payoff that makes the two and a half hours that precede it entirely worth the investment. The only disappointment was that there was no after party on Beale Street. Armed with their instruments and boundless talent, something tells me that the students of Horace Green Preparatory School could most certainly have brought down the house.

The video for “Gainesville”—a previously unreleased song on the Tom Petty career-spanning box set An American Treasure—is premiering today. “Gainesville” was recorded in 1998 during Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers' Echo sessions, and the video was directed by Brantley Gutierrez and produced by Michael W. CMT today announced multi-platinum singer/songwriter Shawn Mendes will join GRAMMY-winning multi-platinum Zac Brown Band for an upcoming installment of the celebrated series, 'CMT Crossroads' debuting Wednesday, October 24 at 10 PM ET/PT. The artists announced the news to fans this morning via Twitter and Instagram. The show will tape outside of Nashville next week.

Penobscot Theatre Company is proud to present New York City singer/pianist Brad Simmons in his one-man musical performance Storytellers on Saturday, September 29 at 7 pm and Sunday, September 30 at 3 pm at the historic Bangor Opera House. Mirage: Visons of Fleetwood Mac comes to The Grove Theatre in Upland on Saturday, September 29th at 8 pm. L.A.-based lead singer Michelle Tyler first gained acclaim with her spot-on Stevie Nicks tribute band Bella Donna. In fact, that group was not only featured on The World's Greatest Tribute Bands but also won praise from Stevie Nicks herself.

Connie Britton and Dylan McDermott  are retuning to AMERICAN HORROR STORY in the upcoming season, Apocalypse, according to Variety. Britton and McDermott appeared in the first season of the series. 

The GRAMMY Museum Experience Prudential Center, in association with the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC), will launch a new program series this fall, beginning with “An Evening With Lenny Kravitz,” a four-time GRAMMY® winner, on Sept. 18, 2018, in NJPAC's Victoria Theater in Newark, N.J. The program will feature a conversation between the iconic rock musician and special guest moderator, five-time GRAMMY winner Questlove about the creation and inspiration behind Kravitz's new release, Raise Vibration. The series will continue with “An Evening With Wyclef Jean,” a three-time GRAMMY winner and founding member of the New Jersey-based Fugees Oct.16, 2018.  The acclaimed musician, producer, and songwriter will discuss his illustrious career and current projects with the Los Angeles GRAMMY Museum's Founding Executive Director, Bob Santelli, which will be followed by a special performance.
