The Houston Symphony announced today the details of its free, family-friendly Summer Neighborhood Concerts and ExxonMobil Summer Symphony Nights. A summer tradition, these evening concerts are held in casual venues across Greater Houston, making these performances accessible to people of all ages and backgrounds. 

Principal POPS Conductor Steven Reineke closes out the 2017-18 BBVA Compass POPS Series May 25 & 26 at 8 p.m. and May 27 at 7:30 p.m. with One-Hit Wonders, a program featuring some of the most memorable songs of the 70s, 80s and 90s.

The New York Pops and Music Director Steven Reineke return for their fourth season at Forest Hills Stadium-the historic sporting and entertainment venue located in the Queens, New York neighborhood of Forest Hills-for a one night only performance of The Who's 'TOMMY' on Sunday, June 17 at 8:00 p.m. (doors at 6:30 p.m.) Presented by Q104.3 and Madison House Presents, the concert features Roger Daltrey, joined by a band of seasoned Who players, including guitarist/backup singer Simon Townshend, guitarist Frank Simes, keyboardist Loren Gold, bassist Jon Button, and drummer Scott Devours.

The Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO) will present the Star Wars: Film Concert Series featuring screenings of the complete films A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, and The Force Awakens with Oscar-winning composer John Williams's musical scores performed live to the films. The concerts will be led by conductor Sarah Hicks (A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back) and TSO Principal Pops Conductor Steven Reineke (Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens).

Two of musical theatre's finest voices filled the Roy Thomson Hall last night at the Toronto Symphony Orchestra's ON BROADWAY. Two-time Tony Award-nominee Stephanie J. Block joined Tony Award-nominated Canadian performer Ramin Karimloo and Steven Reineke, Principal Pops Conductor, in a night of Broadway highlights ranging from Rodgers & Hammerstein, to Stephen Sondheim, to Stephen Schwartz.

The month of May at the Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO) brings masterful guest soloists including Leon Fleisher, Yefim Bronfman, and James Ehnes performing much-loved repertoire such as Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 12, Beethoven's 'Emperor' Concerto, and Brahms's Violin Concerto, while young Canadian violinist Timothy Chooi lends his virtuosity to Vivaldi's The Four Seasons.

Renowned virtuoso guitarist and composer Gil Gutierrez with bassist David Rodriguez and violinist Robert Stern makes a much-anticipated return to the legendary Jazz Standard in New York City, May 22-23.

Whiting) will start off the evening tonight at Carnegie Hall as Maestro Steven Reineke leads The New York Pops in an evening of The Best of Hollywood Blockbuster Film Scores.   You can't get a ticket on Fandango or use your movie pass, but you can possibly snag a ticket at Carnegie Hall for this spectacular music event.  The orchestra was rehearsing this afternoon. Artistic Directors Douglas Aibel and Sarah Stern announce that Irina Dvorovenko ('The Americans'), a former American Ballet Theatre principal dancer, Tony Award nominees Tony Yazbeck (ON THE TOWN, FINDING NEVERLAND) and Peter Friedman (RAGTIME, The Vineyard's THE SLUG BEARERS OF KAYROL ISLAND...), and Teagle F. Bourgere (THE CRUCIBLE, A RAISIN IN THE SUN) will be featured in the world premiere of THE BEAST IN THE JUNGLE, an original work fusing dance, drama and music by legendary composer and four-time Tony Award winner John Kander (CABARET, CHICAGO), Tony Award nominee playwright David Thompson (STEEL PIER; FLORA, THE RED MENACE), and five-time Tony Award-winning director and choreographer Susan Stroman (THE PRODUCERS, CONTACT).
