Bahamas, a.k.a. Afie Jurvanen, has announced a fall US tour. The tour will find the award-winning Canadian singer/songwriter/guitarist performing 32 shows in 29 days, starting on September 21st in Nashville during the 2023 AmericanaFest, following Bahamas’ debut performance at the Grand Ole Opry on September 20th.

Starcatcher is written and recorded by the band—lead singer Josh Kiszka, guitarist Jake Kiszka, bassist/keyboardist Sam Kiszka and drummer Danny Wagner—alongside Grammy-winning producer Dave Cobb (Chris Stapleton, Brandi Carlile). Recorded at the legendary RCA Studios in Nashville, the band utilized the large recording room.

Four-time GRAMMY-nominated artist Mickey Guyton releases her new single “Nothing Compares To You” featuring Multi-Platinum-selling star Kane Brown. Mickey’s and Kane’s voices create a lush blend perfectly suited for this sentimental and tender love song written by Tyler Hubbard, Bebe Rexha, and Jordan Schmidt, and produced by Hubbard and Schmidt.

Indie roots rockers, Mt. Joy will play two nights in their hometown at the Mann Music Center August 12th and 13th.  The band has joined forces with Philadelphia’s Sharing Excess to host a non-perishable food drive both nights.

Fountain Hills Theater will open the musical revue Tomfoolery on August 18th. Nothing is sacred in this hysterical revue that features such Lehrer favorites as 'Poisoning Pigeons in the Park,' 'When You Are Old and Grey,' 'The Masochism Tango,' 'The Old Dope Peddler' and 'The Vatican Rag,' 

Singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Louis Cato is unveiling his new song “Another Day” featuring a duet with Elizabeth Ziman of Elizabeth & The Catapult. The track appears on Cato’s forthcoming album Reflections. Cato is slated to perform an album release show at New York’s (Le) Poisson Rouge on August 11 with special guest Ziman.

Award-winning comedian and actress Mary Dimino is slated to perform at St. George Theatre on Thursday August 24th.  She brings with her the comedy troupe she founded, Supersized Women of Comedy, for a two-show event.

Yvette Nicole Brown and Television Academy chairman and CEO Frank Scherma will reveal the nominations for the 2023 Emmy Awards. Eligible nominees include Schmigadoon!, Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Only Murders in the Building, Ted Lasso, The Crown, The White Lotus, and more. Produced by Sol Was (Beyoncé’s Renaissance) and Henry Was (Justin Jay, Thumpasaurus), the track lends nods to fan favorites like “Good Times” and “Wit Da Team” rounded out by a pounding, yet meditative, outro. He is also set to bring his live show to North America, following his arena tour this spring supporting Paramore.

The album is their first official project as a collective, after initially discovering their musical chemistry when collaborating on 2022’s “More and More,” released by Camerieri and Hagen’s project, CARM. Following that experience, Brickell, Camerieri and Hagen were inspired to further explore their shared creativity and spent three days together.

BIRDLAND JAZZ CLUB will present return of Nashville vocalist Wendy Moten – best known for her 2021 run on NBC’s “The Voice” – on Monday, August 21 at 7:00 PM.

Organizers of the 2023 Rochester Fringe Festival (Tuesday, September 12–Saturday, September 23) announced that Tig Notaro will be this year’s comedy headliner on Saturday, September 16 at 8:00 p.m. in Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre, 26 Gibbs Street.
