Buffalo Theatre Ensemble (BTE), the professional Equity company in residence at the McAninch Arts Center (MAC), wraps up the 2021-2022 Season with “Naperville,” written by Mat Smart and directed by BTE Member Kurt Naebig. New York Theatre Review calls it a “valentine to the heart and soul of the American suburbs.” There will be a Preview performance 8 p.m., Thursday, April 28. Press opening is 8 p.m., Friday, April 29. Performances run through May 29.  

Stage West is promoting the work of local artists by featuring the work of Angela Sarabia for one weekend in May. The title of the psychological thriller play is 'Duress,' and performances will be Friday May 13, 2022 at 7:30pm, Saturday May 14, 2022 at 2pm, and Sunday May 15, 2022 at 2pm. How does an entire community manage to express its anger and sorrow, and find a way to come together to heal? The answer can be found in Aleshea Harris’s What to Send Up When It Goes Down. This highly unique piece will begin a 4-week regional premiere run on Thursday, April 14 in the Evelyn Wheeler Swenson Theatre at Stage West.

Shane Peterman, Producing Artistic Director has announced details of the Company’s 2022-2023 Season.  This season marks the 27th for WaterTower Theatre, and the fourth season programmed by Producing Artistic Director Shane Peterman & Associate Producer Elizabeth Kensek.  

Padua Playwrights presents the world premiere of the newest work from legendary poet/playwright Murray Mednick. Mednick directs his darkly comic Three Tables for a five-week run, April 23 through May 22, at the Zephyr Theatre on Melrose Avenue.
