The cast and creative team for the Broadway-bound limited engagement of The Kite Runner at The Hayes Theater (240 West 44th Street) this summer.

De Stichting Musical Awards is verheugd vandaag mede te delen dat de genomineerden voor de Musical Awards 2022 bekend zijn. De afgelopen maanden bezocht de vakjury, bestaande uit Jon van Eerd, Hilde Scholten, Arno Gelder, Dianne Zuidema, Joy Kreiken, Maurice Luttikhuis, Michiel de Regt, Henriëtte Tol en Rennie Rijpma alle producties. Na vakkundig beraad hebben zij hun nominaties bekend gemaakt. Disney's Aladdin en Come From Away zijn beiden met 12 nominaties het meest vertegenwoordigd direct gevolgd door Rocky Horror Show met 11 nominaties. Ook dit jaar kan het publiek bepalen welke musical van het afgelopen seizoen, volgens hen, de beste is via de Leukstetickets.nl Publieksprijs voor Beste Musical. Publiek kan sinds begin maart hun stem uitbrengen op leukstetickets.nl. De prijsuitreiking vindt plaats op 28 april 2022 in RTM Stage, de grote theaterzaal van Rotterdam Ahoy en wordt om 20.35 uur live uitgezonden door AVROTROS op NPO1. Het gala wordt gepresenteerd door Frits Sissing. Kaarten voor het gala zijn vanaf aanstaande maandag te koop via eventim.nl

Broadway In Hollywood has announced their new 2022-23 season entitled, 'Simply the Best' - the first full season announcement in two years, consisting of eight Broadway national tour productions which will play both the Pantages and Dolby Theatres in Hollywood.

Sony Masterworks Broadway today releases the Original Cast Recording to BACK TO THE FUTURE - THE MUSICAL. Er is de afgelopen maanden enorm hard gewerkt en de voorstelling staat als een huis. Zowel Martijn, Roosmarijn als Annick voelen zich goed, maar houden zich aan de quarantaineregels. Stage Entertainment staat voor artistieke topkwaliteit, de voorstelling kan niet gespeeld worden als drie van de zeven rollen niet op kunnen gaan. Er wordt achter de schermen met strenge en strikte protocollen gewerkt, iedereen die betrokken is bij de productie wordt dagelijks getest, maar met deze besmettelijke coronavariant hou je helaas niet tegen dat mensen buiten de productie om alsnog besmet raken.’’
