Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) will star in and executive produce an untitled limited series for the network about famed actress and inventor Hedy Lamarr. 

Daveed Diggs and Wyatt Russell have joined Showtime's limited series drama set in pre-Civil War America, Good Lord Bird, according to The Hollywood Reporter. They join a cast that includes Ethan Hawke and Joshua Johnson-Lionel.

Today, Pop TV, now fully owned by CBS Corporation, announced it has picked up a second season of FLACK, a drama with darkly comedic situations set in the world of high-stakes celebrity public relations that stars Academy Award® and Golden Globe® winner and Emmy-nominated actress Anna Paquin (True Blood, The Affair on SHOWTIME®). Six episodes of FLACK, a co-production with UKTV's W Network, have been ordered with production beginning today in London. Executive Producer Stephen Moyer will make his series directorial debut with two episodes.

Trinity Rep announces that Chicago-based actor Scott Aiello, best known for his role of Tommy Barkow on the Showtime television series Billions will play Vincent a?oeBuddya?? Cianci in the highly-anticipated upcoming play, The Prince of Providence.  The production will run September 12 a?' October 20 and is expected to sell out. Geffen Playhouse today announced the full cast for its West Coast premiere of Witch, written by Jen Silverman (The Roommate, Collective Rage: A Play in Five Betties) and directed by Marti Lyons (How to Defend Yourself, Boticelli in the Fire). This marks the first Geffen production to launch the 2019/2020 season, the second season programmed by Artistic Director Matt Shakman.

SHOWTIME has given a straight-to-series order to the drama RUST, starring Emmy winner and Tony® and Golden Globe® nominee Jeff Daniels (The Newsroom, Godless, The Looming Tower), who will executive produce and reteam with Oscar nominee Dan Futterman (Capote). Futterman will write multiple episodes of the series, which is co-produced with Platform One Media and based on Philipp Meyer's celebrated debut novel American Rust. The announcement was made today by Gary Levine and Jana Winograde, Presidents of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc.

The producers of 9 TO 5 THE MUSICAL announced today that Chelsea Halfpenny will play the role of 'Judy Bernly' at the Savoy Theatre from Tuesday 27 August. Chelsea will play the role from 27 to 29 August and will be full time in the role from Tuesday 2 September.

The Television Academy has updated the list of this year's Emmy nominations following producer credit vetting, and THE LATE LATE SHOW with JAMES CORDEN's star, James Corden, is now the most nominated performer/producer/writer for the 71st Emmy Awards with seven nominations, while executive producer Ben Winston leads all individual nominations with eight. THE LATE LATE SHOW Executive Producer Rob Crabbe also received five nominations.
