The show, a hilarious musical cabaret journey through one woman's real life stories and what it's really like to be 6 inches away from stardom, will run one night only, Wednesday June 12th, at Rockwell Table & Stage in Hollywood.

Music Mountain announced that pianist Benjamin Hochman will replace pianist Peter Serkin in the opening concert of the Music Mountain Chamber Music Festival on Sunday, June 9 at 3:00 pm. Mr. Serkin is unable to perform due to illness.

The Walt Disney Company UK and Ireland has today announced the principal company for the UK and Ireland tour of the landmark musical THE LION KING which will open in Bristol in September 2019 before moving on to Edinburgh in December 2019. Further cities will be announced in due course.

At a talkback after a show at her school, the presenter asked the audience if anyone had experienced a time when something they considered a flaw turned out to be an asset. Jessie Knowles raised her hand and boldly told the audience that her bipolar and schizophrenia actually heightened her creativity and spiritual insight. The room went silent and Jessie noticed that afterward people either treated her differently or avoided her altogether. She realized the lack of understanding people had about mental health…and that she could do something about it.

I must applaud Everyman Theatre's Artistic Director Vince Lancisi for having the brilliant idea of ending its season with two plays by Caleen Sinnette Jennings in repertory: QUEENS GIRL IN THE WORLD and QUEENS GIRL IN AFRICA. What a genius!

Chance Theater, Anaheim's official resident theater company, is announcing that four performances have been added to the regional premiere of Kim Rosenstock's comedy, Tigers Be Still. Kennedy Jr., surrounding the anniversaries of their tragic deaths through two in-depth original documentaries airing under the celebrated 'Biography' banner. These two-hour documentaries, 'Biography: Farrah Fawcett Forever' and 'Biography: JFK Jr. - The Final Year' will air Tuesday, July 9 at 9pm ET/PT and Tuesday, July 16th at 9pm ET/PT respectively.

Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra (LACO)'s Music Director Designate Jaime Martin announces the appointment of Adrienne Malley as Second Oboe. Malley began her new post with the Orchestra's 2018-19 season-concluding concerts on May 18 and 19. 

JERSEY BOYS follows the true story of 1960s group The Four Seasons; Tommy DeVito (Corey Greenan), Bob Gaudio (Eric Chambliss), Nick Massie (Johnathan Cable), and Frankie Valli (Jonny Wexler). Jessie's Messy Mind is a solo performance piece about Knowles' personal experiences with bipolar and schizophrenia. The show gives the audience a rare look at the world through the lens of a schizophrenic hallucination, a manic episode and a delusional state. Knowles performs the journey she's taken during her three years of graduate study as she's been discovering how to live, work and thrive while experiencing these alternate views of reality. The show is lively, humorous, fascinating and actually, surprising.
