Hudson Valley Shakespeare has revealed its casts for its 2026 Season, which will be the first season in its new, permanent theater space, the Samuel H. Scripps Theater Center.

Hudson Valley Shakespeare will present a staged reading of The Long Christmas Dinner written by Thornton Wilder and directed by Alice Jankell.

Hudson Valley Shakespeare has revealed the six plays selected for their 10th annual Community Bake-Off, following the theme of “Wired for Connection.”

Adapted in 1954 by Thornton Wilder from his earlier play The Merchant of Yonkers, The Matchmaker gained even greater fame when it was transformed into the beloved 1964 Broadway musical Hello, Dolly!. 

Hudson Valley Shakespeare’s 2025 season includes William Shakespeare’s uproarious comedy The Comedy of Errors and Thornton Wilder’s The Matchmaker. See photos of the productions, running in repertory here! 

Hudson Valley Shakespeare has announced casting for their 2025 Season. Tickets for the season will be available for members beginning on March 1, and for the general public beginning on March 12.

Henry V, written by William Shakespeare and directed by Davis McCallum, began performances on Wednesday May 31, with an opening night on Sunday June 4. Henry V will play in rep with Love’s Labor’s Lost through August 21. Check out all new photos!

The Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival announced today performance dates and casting for its 2022 Summer Season, the first season at its new home. The season will begin on July 7, 2022 with Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare and directed by Gaye Taylor Upchurch, which will conclude on September 18.

The Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival announced today performance dates and casting for its 2021 Summer Season, its final at Boscobel House and Gardens. The season will begin on June 24, 2021 with The Most Spectacularly Lamentable Trial of Miz Martha Washington by James Ijames, which will conclude on July 30.

The Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival announces complete casting for the 2019 Summer Season.

The Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival (Davis McCallum, Artistic Director; Kate Liberman, Managing Director) is proud to announce complete casting for the 2018 summer season. The previously announced season will include two Shakespeare classics, RICHARD II and THE TAMING OF THE SHREW, alongside David Farr's adaptation of THE HEART OF ROBIN HOOD, and the world premiere of Seth Bockley's RIP VAN WINKLE; or, CUT THE OLD MOON INTO STARS, the first-ever mainstage commission by HVSF, featuring 40-plus members of the Hudson Valley community alongside a cast of 4 professional actors. The season will also feature the HVSF Conservatory Company in an original clown piece, THE SEA-MAID'S MUSIC, devised and directed by Zachary Fine.
