Bringing the best of Broadway to primetime, NBC has cast Tony Award winner and DEAR EVAN HANSEN star Ben Platt as a guest star on NBC's WILL & GRACE. The episode will air on Thursday, October 5 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.

Yesterday, the cast of WILL & GRACE, Debra Messing, Megan Mullally, Sean Hayes, and Eric McCormack, reunited for the first night of filming their upcoming reboot of the popular NBC comedy. The foursome took to social media to share their excitement.

That's right, honey! A decade after their unforgettable eight-season run, comedy's most fabulous foursome is back. Debra Messing, Eric McCormack, Sean Hayes and Megan Mullally reprise their infamous roles as Will, Grace, Jack and Karen in this exclusive 16-episode event, beginning Thursday, September 28 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on NBC and continuing on for a just-announced second season.  Check out the brand-new promo for the upcoming re-boot below!

NBC Entertainment and Universal Television celebrated the start of production of WILL & GRACE with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Stage 22 on the Universal Studios backlot yesterday. 

Producer Mark Cortale has announced this week that Jessie Mueller, Tony Award winner for 'Beautiful - The Carole King Musical' and most recently a Tony-nominee in Sarah Barielles' 'Waitress,' will make her P-Town debut for the Broadway @ Town Hall summer concert series in Provincetown on September 3 at 6:30pm with Sirius XM radio star Seth Rudetsky as pianist and host.

Mark Cortale's Broadway @ Town Hall series in Provincetown is set to welcome the first of three leading ladies of Broadway who will be gracing its stage this summer. Megan Hilty, breakout star of NBC TV's "Smash" and Broadway's "Wicked" and a Tony nominee for the recent Broadway production of "Noises Off", makes her Town Hall series debut on Sunday, August 6 at 6:30 PM, joined by Sirius XM Radio Star Seth Rudetsky as pianist and host.

The critically-acclaimed CNN Original Series THE HISTORY OF COMEDY is back with all-new episodes beginning Sunday, July 16, at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

Megan Hilty, Broadway star and the lead of TVs hit musical series SMASH tweeted today that Club 11 London, the producers who bought London Matthew Morrison, Tituss Burgess and Jeremy Jordan are bringing Megan Hilty to London to perform in concert.

Will & Grace is on its way back for a mini revival season, but producer David Kohan tells The Hollywood Reporter that the show will not play into the political atmosphere and start preaching a message.

A series of tweets on the parody account @TheTweetofGod landed American comedy writer David Javerbaum a book deal. Eventually that book, The Last Testament: A Memoir By God, was adapted for the stage and renamed as An Act of God. The stage version premiered at Broadway's Studio 54 Theatre in 2015 with Big Bang Theory sitcom star Jim Parsons in the leading role. A second run featured Will & Grace's Sean Hayes in the leading role, and now the B Street Theatre will give the holy role to Nick Cearley (Buyer & Cellar).

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Tony-nominee Megan Hilty and husband Brian Gallagher welcomed a baby boy on Monday, March 13th. Son Ronan Laine Gallagher was born at 3:30 p.m. in Los Angeles. He joins 2 1/2 year-old sister Viola Philomena.
