Broadway Unlocked founder Jessica Ryan announced today that the performance lineup for the sixth annual #giveback concert slated for Sunday, May 13 at 7.30pm at WNYC's The Greene Space (44 Charlton Street) has been updated. Along with producers Kelly Weaver and Mike Borges, Broadway Unlocked is bringing Broadway favorites together to perform and raise funds for the Crime Victims Treatment Center, a not-for-profit organization committed to helping people heal from violent crime. The live concert is directed by Nathan Tysen (Tuck Everlasting, Amelie).
#EduHam is a series of HAMILTON Wednesday matinees made available to New York City schools with a high concentration of students from low-income families for the ticket price of only $10. This educational partnership, made possible through a $1.46 million grant by The Rockefeller Foundation, is not only providing 20,000 NYC public school students with the opportunity to see HAMILTON on Broadway, but provides educational material by Gilder Lehrman to incorporate material from the musical into the American History curriculum.

ASTEP (Artists Striving to End Poverty) has added more performers to the lineup for their inaugural gala, "ASTEP & Friends," on Monday, April 23, at 54 Below. Joel Perez, Noah Ricketts, Carrie Manalakos, and Mean Girls' Kyle Selig join previously announced performers, including Tony Award nominees Kate Baldwin and Laura Osnes, as well as Mean Girls' stars Erika Henningsen and Grey Henson, Hamilton's Sean Green Jr., and Jessica Vosk.

Tony Award-winner Andrea Martin will host the one-night-only event, which will honor the activism of composer and lyricist Georgia Stitt, and ASTEP's work with CASES, the Center for Alternative Sentencing and Employment Services. The intimate evening is conceived and directed by Mary-Mitchell Campbell, Music Director of Mean Girls, and will feature performances from Campbell along with Tony Award nominees Kate Baldwin and Laura Osnes, as well as Mean Girls' Erika Henningsen and Grey Henson, Hamilton's Sean Green Jr., Jessica Vosk, and more to be announced.

As you know, February is Black History Month. We here at Broadway Sessions wanted to take a moment to reflect on the massive impact of African American legacy on Broadway and beyond. We rallied an incredible roster of some of Broadway's most fantastic voices to speak and sing on the subject. The result was moving and hilarious and powerful and poignant. And the singing? Well, let's just say y'all aren't ready for this!
LIVER BIRDS FLYING HOME is the brand new musical featuring Beryl & Sandra, the iconic characters created by Carla Lane and Myra Taylor from the classic TV series The Liver Birds. The musical features lyrics by Barb Jungr, music by Mike Lindup and book by Barb Jungr, George Seaton and Linda McDermott. Produced by Liverpool's Royal Court, Olivier Award winning West End producer James Seabright and George Seaton and directed by Benji Sperring, the musical opens at Liverpool's Royal Court for a limited engagement from Friday April 13th.

Just last night, the NYCLU (New York Civil Liberties Union) hosted its 15th Annual 'Broadway Stands Up For Freedom' Concert, and Mr. Harry Belafonte was honored with the inaugural 'Freedom Award' for his lifetime dedication to fighting for civil rights and civil liberties.
