The Downtown Urban Arts Festival has selected the finalists for the 21st annual season to run Spring 2023 in Manhattan, NYC.

Phoenix Theatre Ensemble announces that HONDURAS by Drama Desk nominated playwright Sara Farrington will be performed April 5-10 at the Paradise Thearte II at 64 East 4th Street (between Bowery and 2nd Avenue). 

Over 100 artists and activists from all over the globe are set to take part in the 4th INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS ART FESTIVAL in New York City December 6 - 12 at Wild Project (195 E. 3rd Street in Manhattan).

The One Festival will present HONDURAS by Sara Farrington. HONDURAS is a solo piece based on experiences from several Honduran immigrant mothers in the New York/New Jersey area, all of whom connected with Sara & Immigrant Families Together.

Art House Productions (Executive Director Meredith Burns) has announced its limited engagement of REID FARRINGTON'S A CHRISTMAS CAROL. Created and Directed by Reid Farrington & Foxy Films, this multimedia theater production is a live mash-up of nearly every movie version of A CHRISTMAS CAROL ever made, bringing new life to the time-honored story. Following a successful stint at Abrons Arts Center in 2011, this unique production will bring the holiday spirit to Jersey City. Art House's production will feature an accomplished professional company of actors, including Laura K Nicoll, Adam Patterson, and Zachary Eisenstat.

The Michael Chekhov Theatre Festival announces their three upcoming shows to be presented October 18th and 19th, 2019 at the Ridgefield Theater Barn.

The Tank will present its 2019-20 season at 312 West 36th Street in its 98-seat proscenium and 56-seat blackbox spaces. This season marks The Tank's 2nd anniversary in its home on West 36th Street and embodies the company's mission to break down economic barriers and invest in emerging artists by sustaining an incubator and home for the creation and presentation of their work.

Following on the success of the 201718 SEASON OF WOMXN and 201819 COLOR BRAVE SEASON, The Flea announced today that its 201920 Season will be the SEASON OF ANARCHY: THE RETURN OF THE MACS as they welcome back playwrights, poets and activists Mac Wellman and Taylor Mac.

Art House Productions announces its full schedule of arts programming from September 2018 until June 2019.  Beginning in September, Art House presents its first Artist-in-Residence: Raven Taisce White. Raven is a trans woman from South Carolina and her company, BIRDHOUSE perform a reimagining of their piece Hot Winter. Hot Winter follows five humans as they struggle to understand one another, unifying in difference and falling apart in sameness and is a surrealistic look at the performers' collective universe.

The Tank (Meghan Finn and Rosalind Grush, Artistic Directors) will present the New York Premiere of LEISURE, LABOR, LUST, written and directed by Sara Farrington at The Tank (312 West 36th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues), March 28-April 22. 

Written by 2-time Drama Desk nominee Sara Farrington, Leisure, Lust is inspired by two very divergent worlds: Edith Wharton's upper crust 1% and social reformer Jacob Riis's most impoverished underclass. Farrington tackles issues of gender, sex, love, mental illness, and class in a tangled knot of privilege, poverty, and the myth of the American dream.

Art House Productions has announced that the Jersey City-based performing and visual arts organization will open its new space on Coles Street with Sara Farrington's Leisure, Lust from October 26 through November 12. Leisure and Lust are part of the full-length play Leisure, Labor, Lust.

Independent Shakespeare Co. (ISC), presenters of the Griffith Park Free Shakespeare Festival announce performances of interdisciplinary artist Kalean Ung's original solo work, LETTERS FROM HOME, directed by Marina McClure. LETTERS FROM HOME will play for four performances only: Friday, November 10 & 17, Saturday, November 11 & 18 at 7:30pm at Independent Studio in the Atwater Crossing Arts + Innovation Complex, 3191 Casitas Ave., #130 in Atwater Village.
