New York City Center today announced the first set of casting for the 2022 Encores! season and the Spring Gala | Encores! Into the Woods on the opening night of the production, May 4. The next chapter of the Tony-honored series opens February 2 – 6, 2022 with the 1983 Tony-nominated musical The Tap Dance Kid.

The performers were shot and recorded in all 5 Boroughs in locations such as Birdland, the Brooklyn Museum, Columbia University, La Casita de Chema, Maimonides Park, NYU, Open Jar Studios, Red Hook Winery, Russ & Daughters, Steinway & Sons Factory, Tom’s Restaurant, and the Wonder Wheel among many others.

BIRDLAND THEATER will present Eric Comstock in his new fall residency for four Saturdays in September: September 4, 11, 18 and 25, at 5:00 PM.  There is a $30 music charge. Birdland is located at 315 West 44th Street in New York.

Having recently performed for Backline's 'Set Break' live stream alongside Alanis Morissette, Tom Morello, Ben Folds, Sara Bareilles and more to raise funds and awareness for mental health services to be distributed to music industry for free, L'FREAQ has been a champion for her community.

On top of sharing a clip from the first rehearsal, Bareilles expressed regret that cast member Nick Cordero, who passed away due to COVID early in the pandemic, couldn't be there to join them.

Despite recent headlines about the delta variant of COVID-19, more regions are preparing to move ahead with reopening plans. The hit musical Waitress is returning to Broadway this fall for a limited engagement, September 2, 2021 - January 9, 2022, at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre!

Baltimore's Hippodrome Theatre at the France-Merrick Performing Arts Center is thrilled to announce WAITRESS will return for a limited two-day engagement this Fall. The diner opens up for one performance on Saturday, November 6 and two on Sunday, November 7, 2021.

The first installment in the series will feature Grammy-nominated guitarist and innovative songwriter Marcus King. New Orleans multi-instrumentalist Ivan Neville, “badass and beautiful” vocalist and songwriter Lisa Fischer, and Grammy-nominated multi-instrumentalist Louis Cato will join King as special guests.
