This show is an amazing achievement where the right script, cast, and creative team come together to produce something unique and visionary. MEMORIAM is a blend of the best of all the theatrical arts combined and sparks a fiery storm of emotions.

Review: CRY IT OUT at MILDRED'S UMBRELLA

Sometimes, a play does what no other artistic medium can do. It can feel intimate, immediate, and alive. CRY IT OUT from MILDRED’S UMBRELLA is one of those living productions that feels like you are watching three real women deal with being a mother and looking at how that is going to affect every aspect of their lives.

Review: O: A RHAPSODY IN DIVORCE at MILDRED'S UMBRELLA

O: A RHAPSODY IN DIVORCE does what any good play sets out to do; it makes you feel. Your heart breaks for the lead character; her struggle and journey are effective and moving. There is a lot here to savor, and it maintains the prestige of what this company routinely produces.

All of these up-and-coming scripts pay special attention to identity-the ethics of how we treat each other, and how those choices drive our decision-making.

BWW Review: WELL Explores Wellness & Personal Narrative at Mildred's Umbrella Theatre Company

What truly makes us well? Is wellness some otherworldly notion or mindset that we consciously choose or decide not to choose? How much power does an individual genuinely have over their wellness, or lack thereof? Additionally, how much power does an individual have over the wellness of others? These are the questions that the cast and creatives of Lisa Kron's WELL, currently in performance at Mildred's Umbrella Theatre Company, ask the audience to consider as they witness a multicharacter theatrical exploration of issues of health and illness both in the individual and in a community .

Photo Flash: Find Out Whodunit in THE MYSTERY OF EDWIN DROOD

Obsidian Theater in association with Standing Room Only Productions is excited to bring the musical comedy, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, to Houston audiences. This hilarious whodunit will run September 28-October 14 at Obsidian Theater. With book, music and lyrics by Rupert Holmes, this show within a show is based on the final unfinished novel of the same name by Charles Dickens, who left his story unfinished when he passed away in 1870. Due to the novel being incomplete, the identity of the murderer, or the question of Drood's ultimate fate, was never revealed.
