The Broadway Advocacy Coalition has announced Chesray Dolpha will join the organization as the new Artistic Director. Dolpha has worked with some of NYC's top arts education institutions including Theater Development Fund, St. Ann's Warehouse and The Dream Center in Harlem.

The American Theatre Wing (Heather Hitchens, President & CEO) and The Village Voice (Peter Barbey, CEO) have just announced that the 65th Annual Obie Awards, New York's preeminent celebration of Off- and Off-Off Broadway theater, will premiere on YouTube.com/AmericanTheatreWing on Thursday, June 4, 2020 at 8:00 PM EDT. The prerecorded ceremony will be hosted by comedian, actor and writer Cole Escola (Hulu's Difficult People, FXX's Man Seeking Woman, Amazon Prime's Mozart in the Jungle), who will also perform with surprise special guests.

Butterfly, Yellow Face) and Jeanine Tesori (Fun Home; Violet; Caroline, or Change), Soft Power, ran last fall at the Public Theater and is an exploration of America's place in the world, told through an East-West musical from China's point of view, in which a theater producer from Shanghai forms a unique bond with Hillary Clinton. Soft Power challenges us to dig deep and ask the bigger questions around how America fits with the rest of the world and what democracy means for every one of us.
