With NW Trilogy by Moira Buffini, Suhayla El-Bushra and Roy Williams entering previews next week, Kiln Theatre Artistic Director Indhu Rubasingham announces dates for her next production of Zadie Smith's The Wife of Willesden, presented by Kiln Theatre in association with Brent 2020, London Borough of Culture.

Pitlochry Festival Theatre and The Royal Lyceum Theatre Edinburgh, in association with Naked Productions, have announced the World Première of History, Roy Williams' new play which will give audiences a kaleidoscopic portrait of Black Britain over the last 40 years.

The family-friendly day of free art includes a curated walking tour of Soho Road, vintage bus provided by National Express West Midlands, a bus stop transformed into a mini-gallery, banner art, food, DJ and songs from new musical Bus Boycott (working title), in development throughout 2022.

Last night the Lyric Hammersmith Theatre reopened with the world premiere of Out West. This play is comprised of three new one-person-shows written by UK playwrights: Tanika Gupta, Simon Stephens and Roy Williams. The production is co-directed by Rachel O'Riordan & Diane Page.

Out West stars  Esh Alladi, Tom Mothersdale and Ayesha Antoine in three new short plays by Tanika Gupta, Simon Stephens and Roy Williams, co-directed by Rachel O’Riordan and Diane Page, ahead of opening night on 24 June.

Under Haydon's stewardship, the Rose's own work will be the priority, as demonstrated by the five Rose Originals in this upcoming season, but there will always be room on the theatre's stage for the country's leading touring shows as well.  This season's Rose Originals are a blend of new plays tackling significant contemporary issues and well-known titles reinvented for today.

The National Theatre has today announced its programming until the start of next year with productions on all three South Bank stages as well as three major UK tours, two productions on Broadway, a return to cinemas, and a new feature film to be broadcast on television this autumn. In the week the theatre reopened for audiences again, six new productions were announced, and five productions halted by the pandemic were confirmed to return to the South Bank.  

The Lyric Hammersmith Theatre today announced casting and releases images for its summer reopening production Out West. Esh Alladi will play a young Gandhi in Tanika Gupta's The Overseas Student, Tom Mothersdale will play new father Jack in Simon Stephens' Blue Water and Cold and Fresh and Ayesha Antoine will play security guard Donna in Roy Williams' Go, Girl.
