Direct from New York City after its closing last Fall, The Winter Park Playhouse opens the country's first professional production of the Off-Broadway hit - Desperate Measures - September 20 through October 13. This uproarious musical comedy won both the 2018 Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle awards and is set for its national premiere at The Winter Park Playhouse September 20 through October 13. Performances are Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 p.m., Thursday and Saturday matinee performances at 2 p.m. and select Friday and Sunday matinees at 2 p.m.

The process for submissions for new musical works to be considered for the 4th annual Florida Festival of New Musicals is currently underway with the deadline approaching September 30, 2019.

The Winter Park Playhouse continues its tradition of excellence for producing professional musical theatre with a World Premiere as its season opener - How To Marry A Divorced Man. This exceptional new work was featured and was the audience 'top pick' in the theatre's second annual Florida Festival of New Musicals. This work now takes the stage for its first fully produced run August 2 - 25, 2019. The Winter Park Playhouse will present a humorous and heartwarming contemporary musical, Heartbeats, as the final production of its current series of professional musicals May 10 through June 9, 2019. Performances are Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 p.m., Thursday and Saturday matinee performances at 2 p.m. and select Friday and Sunday matinees at 2 p.m.

Dance into Spring with The Winter Park Playhouse as they continue their series of professional musicals with the Southeastern Regional Premiere of What A Glorious Feeling! The Story of Singin' In The Rain, March 15 through April 13, 2019. Performances are Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 p.m., Thursday and Saturday matinee performances at 2 p.m. and select Friday and Sunday matinees at 2 p.m.

As part of its quarterly One-Night-Only Series on the Mainstage, The Winter Park Playhouse will present THE FUN 4 - an internationally known Beatles tribute band - performing hits from their original Disney touring shows, Beatlemania and The British Invasion Show, on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 7:30p.m.   Net proceeds will go to support the quality musical programming on The Playhouse Mainstage and out in the community.

The production runs November 16 through December 16 , 2018. Sometimes the piano is front and center. Other times - often - it's forgotten altogether. The ole ivories are a mere MacGuffin, and not a particularly compelling one at that. The show isn't really here to tell us about a piano, or about the characters who buy and sell it...

The Winter Park Playhouse has been playing to sold out performances of their World Premiere of Gigolo: The New Cole Porter Revue and has added a performance on Friday August 17 at 2 p.m. to meet the strong demand.
