Sing In The Rain With Winter Park Playhouse This Spring

Dance into Spring with The Winter Park Playhouse as they continue their series of professional musicals with the Southeastern Regional Premiere of What A Glorious Feeling! The Story of Singin' In The Rain, March 15 through April 13, 2019. Performances are Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 p.m., Thursday and Saturday matinee performances at 2 p.m. and select Friday and Sunday matinees at 2 p.m.

This new song-and-dance musical, by Jay Berkow, brings to life the story of the love triangle between Gene Kelly, Jeanne Coyne (Kelly's assistant) and Stanley Donen (the film's director) during the making of the iconic movie musical Singin' In The Rain. Set in the backdrop of movie making Hollywood, this professional production will feature memorable musical numbers with all of the well-known original choreography and a score of famous songs including "Make 'Em Laugh," "Good Mornin'," "Broadway Melody," "Singin' in The Rain'" and many more!

The experienced professional cast includes three newcomers to the Playhouse stage - Adam T. Biner, Charles Logan and Jennafer Newberry - and two returning performers - Tay Anderson (Life Could Be A Dream) and Todd Allen Long (Forever Plaid, The Fantasticks).

Playhouse Artistic Director Roy Alan will direct and choreograph. Resident Playhouse Music Director, Christopher Leavy, will music direct the Playhouse trio with Mr. Leavy on piano, Sam Forrest on percussion, and Ned Wilkinson on multiple instruments.

Ticket prices are $42 evenings, $39 senior evenings, $32 matinees, $20 preview, $15 student and theatrical industry professionals. Student rush "$10@10" offers $10 tickets (for students 25 years and younger) 10 minutes prior to a performance when seats are available.
