Take A Risk On New Works At Orlando PLAYFEST 2019

The Basel-Kiene Family joins City Beverages in presenting PlayFest. Orlando Shakes in partnership with UCF's PlayFest 2019 is set for November 1 a?" 3 and 8 a?" 9, 2019 and features seven readings of new plays in development. At the two-weekend festival, patrons will experience ground-breaking new works while participating in the creative process. Tickets to individual PlayFest readings ($10) may be purchased online at orlandoshakes.org, by phone at (407) 447-1700 ext. 1, or in person at the John and Rita Lowndes Shakespeare Center (812 East Rollins Street). PlayFest Passes ($56) and PlayFest VIP Passes ($100) are on sale now and may be purchased by phone or in person.

LEONARD SOLOWAY'S BROADWAY to Premiere in NYC Nov. 4-7

Leonard Soloway's Broadway, a new documentary produced and directed by Jeff Wolk (After Louie; Last Glimmer of Day) will premiere at The Landmark at 57th Street (657 W. 57th Street) in New York City from November 4-7 and will be distributed digitally by 1091 to various platforms beginning on November 12. The film will also screen at several film festivals around the country prior to its digital distribution.

Playhouse On Park Offers A Variety Of Discounted Ticket Options For Main Stage Productions

See theatre on a budget by taking advantage of deeply discounted ticket opportunities. Playhouse on Park offers preview tickets, Preview Subscriptions, Student Rush, and Lunch Time Special. There are three preview performances for every main stage show; preview tickets are $17.50 each, and all seats must be reserved. You can also get a Preview Subscription, which allows you to see all six shows for only $84. Additionally, Student Rush Tickets are available 15 minutes prior to curtain. They are $10 per student, cash only, with a valid student ID. Limit one per person. Lunch Time Special tickets are available between 12pm a?" 1pm for the performance occurring that same day/evening. They are $10 each, cash only. Tickets must be purchased in person at the Playhouse on Park box office. Interested in ushering? Volunteer ushers can see shows for free!
