Ronnie Marmo (Theatre 68) and Racquel Lehrman (Theatre Planners), two powerhouses in LA Theatre, have partnered to bring you a new and improved state-of-the-art theatrical complex! 

Critically-acclaimed actor Ronnie Marmo, with the blessings of Kitty Bruce (daughter of the late Lenny Bruce), along with the Lenny Bruce Foundation, will present “I'M NOT A COMEDIAN… I'M LENNY BRUCE.”

By popular demand, Theatre 68 and the Venus Cabaret Theater (3745 N. Southport Ave.) have announced additional performances of the critically-acclaimed production, “I’m Not A Comedian… I’m Lenny Bruce,” Jan. 28 through Feb. 5, 2022 in Chicago.

Theatre 68 and the Venus Cabaret Theater have announced the extension of the critically acclaimed production, “I'm Not A Comedian… I'm Lenny Bruce,” now running until Jan. 2, 2022 in Chicago. 

Written and performed by Ronnie Marmo and directed by Joe Mantegna, the run will continue through Saturday, October 2 only. The lighting, projection, and sound design are by Matthew Richter. The show contains adult content and nudity, and the running time is 90 minutes.

Written by and starring New Jersey native (Woodbridge) RONNIE MARMO and directed by Tony Award winner JOE MANTEGNA (star of TV's CRIMINAL MINDS), the funny, powerful, provocative and moving portrait of the Legendary Lenny Bruce recently played to SRO audiences in Chicago, Off Broadway and Los Angeles among other cities. 

The Royal George Theatre is likely to close as the complex is expected to be sold for redevelopment in the coming weeks.

With the current theatre world on hiatus, I have created a Spotlight Series on Broadway World Los Angeles which features interviews with some of the many talented artists who make our Los Angeles theatre community so exciting and vibrant thanks to their ongoing contribution to keeping the arts alive in the City of the Angels. And like all of us, how are they dealing with the abrupt end of productions in which they were involved? This Spotlight focuses on Ronnie Marmo, an actor, director, producer, playwright, and Artistic Director of Theatre 68 who has been touring the country with his dynamic solo show I'm Not A Comedian...I'm Lenny Bruce. I attended the show more than once and was excited to hear the news of its New York City and Chicago production dates, which of course are now on hold.

Halsted.)

This will be the fifth collaboration between director Ronnie Marmo and Sam Henry Kass, The show will open October 18, running through November 16, 2019, with one preview October 17 at Theatre 68.
