Since fans can't be together at the Fort, Newport Folk is bringing the music to you with radio broadcasts from over 60 years of archived sets, webcast concerts, and a very special film to close the weekend.

Reel Works-Teen Filming, Mott Haven Academy and The New York Foundling presented the virtual production of Unstoppable, Tales from the Schoolyard.

“I Remember Everything,” the last song recorded by legendary singer, songwriter, musician and performer John Prine, is out today. Written by Prine and his longtime collaborator Pat McLaughlin, the song was recorded last year in Prine's living room with Grammy Award-winning producer Dave Cobb and engineer Gena Johnson.

ANOTHER BRICK IN THE WALL's title alone brings a melody to mind, and if you don't hear it in the bratty voices of the kids featured on the album a?' then you'll probably have a different opinion on the opera than fans of Pink Floyd might. While this production leans into the emotional undertones of the source material and Roger Waters' lyrics, it trades the captivating and wild grit of classic rock for sweeping orchestral pieces and in-your-face literalism that doesn't always land.

John Prine won two awards at last night's Americana Music Association Honors & Awards: Album of the Year (The Tree of Forgiveness) and Song of the Year (“Summer's End” written by Prine and Pat McLaughlin). The reigning 2017 and 2018 Americana Artist of the Year, Prine also performed “Angel From Montgomery” with Bonnie Raitt during last night's ceremony.
