This year's Newport Folk Festival - one of the oldest and longest running music festivals in the world, will not happen in person. Since fans can't be together at the Fort, Newport Folk is bringing the music to you with radio broadcasts from over 60 years of archived sets, webcast concerts, and a very special film to close the weekend.

On June 5th, due to Covid-19 their show was adapted with social distancing in mind as the children were individually filmed in their neighborhood in the South Bronx, outside. Reel Works-Teen Filming, Mott Haven Academy and The New York Foundling presented the virtual production of Unstoppable, Tales from the Schoolyard.

“I Remember Everything,” the last song recorded by legendary singer, songwriter, musician and performer John Prine, is out today. Written by Prine and his longtime collaborator Pat McLaughlin, the song was recorded last year in Prine's living room with Grammy Award-winning producer Dave Cobb and engineer Gena Johnson.

Haven Kids Rock is a music program that was founded to empower underserved youth in the New York City child welfare and foster care systems, residing at Mott Haven Academy Charter School in the South Bronx.

Due to overwhelming demand, the Roger Waters: This Is Not A Drill tour has announced a 2nd show in New York City on August 6, 2020 at Madison Square Garden. Tickets for the August 5 and August 6 New York City dates go on sale Friday, January 31 at 10:00am ET.

The Madison Square Garden Company and AEG Presents' Concerts West announced today that Roger Waters, the creative genius of Pink Floyd, will bring his audio-visual experience to Madison Square Garden on Wednesday, August 5 at 8:00PM. For the first time ever, Waters will perform in the round. Tickets for the show will go on sale to the public on Friday, January 31 at 10:00AM.

Almost 50 years into his remarkable career, John Prine will be honored by the Recording Academy as one of their 2020 Lifetime Achievement Award recipients.

MerleFest, presented by Window World, is proud to announce the next round of artist additions for MerleFest 2020, which will be held April 23-26. John Prine, Billy Strings, Colin Hay, Kelsey Waldon, and Gangstagrass will be joining the annual homecoming of musicians and music fans on the campus of Wilkes Community College in Wilkesboro, North Carolina, in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Etienne Dupuis will sing the Count in the February 5, 8, and 11 performances of Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro, replacing Mariusz Kwiecień. Mariusz Kwiecień sings the performances on February 14, 19 and 22mat as previously announced.

John Prine's new acoustic video for his song “Paradise,” featuring special guest Kelsey Waldon, premiered yesterday at Sounds Like Nashville. The song was recorded as part of the pair's new collaborative 7-inch vinyl, The Kentucky Sessions, which is included with each purchase of Waldon's new album White Noise/White Lines—out October 4 via Prine's independent label Oh Boy Records. 

Depeche Mode, along with Trafalgar Releasing, Sony Music Entertainment and BBH Entertainment, are excited to announce the upcoming release of the new feature-length documentary and concert film, SPIRITS in the Forest, coming to cinemas worldwide for a one-night event on November 21. The film will bring fans together around the world to celebrate the impact of Depeche Mode's music and performances. SPIRITS in the Forest will be screened in more than 2,400 cinemas, from Adelaide to Zagreb, in over 70 countries. 

John Prine won two awards at last night's Americana Music Association Honors & Awards: Album of the Year (The Tree of Forgiveness) and Song of the Year (“Summer's End” written by Prine and Pat McLaughlin). The reigning 2017 and 2018 Americana Artist of the Year, Prine also performed “Angel From Montgomery” with Bonnie Raitt during last night's ceremony. 

Front and Center, the critically acclaimed concert series that kicked off its ninth season last month, announced that popular indie folk band The Head and The Heart is featured in its next episode on public television (check local listings).
